 * I was originally using polylang and its additional plug-in for WooCommerce. I
   have unfortunately noticed that the system would not treat two versions of the
   same product (say English and another language) as one when it comes to inventory.
   Therefore, having two or more languages would mean to have two or more separated
   shops which from an inventory point of view is madness.
 * Does your woocommerce-qtranslate-x plug-in treat products’ translations as one
   product, therefore presumably using the inventory of the product in the default
   language? 🙂

 * no, I have not. It simply does not work. I have also tried different WooCommerce
   Polylang plug-ins but no results. Perhaps a bug, or perhaps nobody thought of
   this.
 * The only “solution” seems to opt for Magento (or any other e-commerce that offers
   shared inventory between languages) which is not what I had in mind for this 
   particular site! 🙁

 * perhaps I did not explain the issue correctly.
 * As an example, I have a product in the default language which is has a certain
   availability (say 10 items available). I then create the corresponding transaltion
   in a secondary language.
 * Inventory is very important and I would expect the two to share the inventory
   information as they are in fact the same product just translated.
 * If this cannot be done it would mean a tremendous amount of additional work for
   each language and it would be factually like having completely separate shops
   which is not really ideal.
 * Any thoughts on this? 🙂

 * I finally found the combination that seems to do the job. In Settings > Permalinks,
   I left Category base blank and used [shop base]/[product category base] as Product
   category base
 * I had tried a number of combinations without success. I still can’t simply get
   the shop category just after the store base, but this will do.

 * I have read official documentation and a number of posts without finding a solution.
 * As the plugin author do you feel mydomain.ext/[product category base]/mycategory
   is the best solution rather than mydomain.ext/[store/shop base]/[product category
   base]/mycategory or mydomain.ext/[store/shop base]/mycategory?
 * I believe what I am trying to achieve is quite reasonable, especially from a 
   user point of view.
 * If my store base is /store why would I not have that in the URL for the stores’
   categories?

 * Unfortunately the plug-in was removed and it is no longer available for download.
   I have found a different one, although I hoped I could avoid a plug-in 🙂

 * Thank you, Chrystl! In all screenshots of the interface, there was a checkbox
   under Settings. I did not realise the star there had this meaning! 🙂
