 * Hi Amit,
 * I heard back from Elementor. It was indeed an issue with them.
 * The problem was that I hadn’t added the comments widget in the single post template
   I am using.
 * But I could add it now and the problem is solved.

 * thanks very much for your reply!
 * I have contacted Elementor and am awaiting their reply. It’s strange that Elementor
   would cause this as I have no problems whatsoever with other aspects of the site
   functionality.
 * Once I have had them look into it, I’ll give an update.
