I ended up dumping this plugin and creating a page template specifically for the category called“ portfolio” and using that instead. They weren’t there for several weeks, but now they are showing up so Google must have fixed something, or the plugin update took effect and the server cache updated. Magic! I don’t have access to the database — it is GoDaddy, and I can’t get into the database to edit it. This seemed to work, and I won’t be using that plugin anymore. Going to move to GoDaddy’s new WordPress managed hosting, which is supposed to be more secure.
