 * I couldn’t see the event in the backend event list. Looking at the database, 
   the event record had a post_id that didn’t exist which I thought was a bit strange.
   But I couldn’t delete the event cos it didn’t appear in the backend under All
   Events.
 * In the end I had to go into the database and just delete the event record. That
   worked.
 * But the bug is in how the post record got deleted but the event record didn’t.

 * Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately I have given up using The Events Calendar
   as I couldn’t get it to work reliably, so I’m not using it at all now.
