    It looks like it might just be a conflict with your theme or another plugin, and the text is the same color as the background (white) so it doesn’t appear visible.

    I can’t actually see a topic page without having access to the course so I can’t confirm what’s happening. If you’re comfortable giving me access to the course (even just as a test student), I can take a look and tell you exactly what’s going on.

    You can email me support@escapecreative.com.

    Ian, thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback and experience with our plugin and our company. I’m sorry you feel that our company policies are not great. I’d like to provide some clarification and facts about our policies.

    Before I do, I also want to let you know that I was able to adjust the refund to the full amount you paid for the plugin. We ate the cost of the transaction fee.

    1. I don’t know what steps you took to cancel the subscription, but our system obviously didn’t have record of the cancellation, otherwise we would not have billed you for a renewal. It could’ve been a glitch with our system, or something on your end, but I can say that we have users who consistently, successfully, cancel their subscriptions, and our system accepts this and does not bill them again.

    2. We don’t REQUIRE you to prove how our plugin doesn’t work. We ASK you to show us how it doesn’t work, and at least give us a chance to help you. Our exact policy states, in part:

    “We’d be happy to discuss offering you a refund within 30 days of your initial purchase. Because of the nature of digital software, we do ask the following:
    – You can prove how the plugin fails to do what it is intended to do
    – You give us a chance to help you first”

    We have no record of you ever reaching out last year when you noticed the plugin didn’t work with the other tools/code you were using. If you read some other reviews, you’ll see that we go above & beyond to provide custom code, help with things that aren’t even related to our plugin, etc. We would’ve done the same for you and your unique setup, had you just asked.

    3. As far as company policies go, I think ours is mostly in line with others in the WordPress plugin business. We state that we don’t provide refunds on renewal purchases, but in most cases, we actually do refund those who ask. Most folks are okay with the small fee we hold onto. And we’re not making any profit off of that fee. It’s simply to cover our cost that Stripe & PayPal charge us even when we refund a customer.

    4. I wish you the best of luck with all your future LearnDash and/or LMS projects.

    Thanks for taking the time to provide such an awesome review :-). We’re really happy that you like the plugin.

    I understand the confusion.

    Generally, anything with “for LearnDash” in the name means it’s a third-party product. Official LearnDash products will start with LearnDash (“LearnDash Design Upgrade”). This is commonplace for most WordPress plugins.

    Official LearnDash support can be found here:

    Just for the record, this doesn’t appear to have anything to do with our plugin. It doesn’t even look like you’re using our plugin.

    But I’m pretty sure the issue is happening because of the long course title you have, and because of how LearnDash coded the CSS for the sidebar. It’s not very accepting of longer course titles.

    This CSS should fix it. Add this to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.

    .learndash-wrapper .ld-focus .ld-focus-sidebar {
        padding-bottom: 160px;
    }

    Hi. I assume you’re referring to the sidebar in LearnDash Focus Mode. I can’t access that without having a login to your site and being enrolled in one of your courses.

    Please email support@escapecreative.com with the login info so we can look at one of the pages in question. Also please provide us a link to one of your lessons.

    It actually says the same thing for me in the Chrome Inspector, however the code still works. And I tried it on the URL you provided and it works there, too. Does it not work for you when you add that CSS to the “Additional CSS” in the Customizer?

    I’d love to have you as a customer 😊</img>.

    Hi,

    I tested this and the code you included above works for me. It moves the currency symbol to the right side.

    LearnDash makes the parent element display:flex;, which is what makes the order property work. It’s possible that you have other CSS that is changing .ld-course-status-price from display:flex; to display:block;. That would make the order parameter invalid because you can’t use order with display:block;. order only works on things that are display:flex;.

    Our pro plugin will not address this issue, but if you post a link to your site, I’d be happy to take a look and see if I can tell you what’s causing it not to work.

    I can’t replicate the experience you’re having so it’s impossible to say without logging into your site. I’d be happy to do that if you’re comfortable sending me admin login credentials.

    You can email them to dave@escapecreative.com.

    Hi – When you access widget areas in the Customizer (by going to Appearance > Customize), WordPress only shows the widget areas that are available on the current page you are viewing in the Customizer.

    You need to navigate to a different page to see the additional widgets that are available. So I’m guessing you were viewing a course page when you only saw the two course widgets.

    If you navigate to a lesson or topic page, you should then see the widget areas within focus mode.

    Hi Ken – Thanks for pointing this out. It was indeed our code that was hiding your course grid short description. We just released an update (2.11.1) that fixes this issue.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: This was only applying to those using the “Legacy” Active Template in the LearnDash settings. LearnDash has not supported this setting for at least 3 years, and because of that, we no longer support it either.

    We made an exception this time to fix this one issue, but we won’t be making updates to the Legacy templates in the future. You must be using the “LearnDash 3.0” active template to receive updates with Design Upgrade for LearnDash.

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Mayteck,

    There is nothing in our plugin that will help you create any kind of checklist. And the plugin itself does not provide a way to add unique content on a course-by-course basis. This can be done by using another plugin alongside ours. Our plugin page has a video and some instructions on how to use the Widget Options plugin to target specific courses.

    For what it sounds like you’re trying to do, I don’t think our plugin is the best solution. You’ll probably want to write some custom code to achieve this.

    I don’t fully understand what you’re trying to accomplish so it’s hard for me to provide any ideas. I don’t know exactly what you mean by a checklist.

    It kind of sounds like you might want to use a form plugin to ask the students some questions, and then depending on their answers, place them in a program (LearnDash calls these “groups”), and then that group would have several courses in it. This would be a bit tricky to set up but I think it’s doable with an automation plugin (Zapier or Uncanny Automator).

    Thanks for trusting us, Arika. We’re so glad we were able to make your life easier and improve the design of your LearnDash site.

    Our plugin does not have this feature.

    Unfortunately, I have not heard of anyone else requesting this, and I’m not aware of any plugin or code that exists to accomplish it.

    Best of luck figuring it out.
