 * If you see a 412 error, you are running an extremely old outdated version (measured
in YEARS) of Bad Behavior and should consider updating to a current version.

 * I’ve gotten Bad Behavior’s listing current on the WordPress site. Somebody should
have told me that was there. Apparently people have been downloading ancient
   versions from there. 🙁

 * I killed the address because it was receiving much too much spam. We’re talking
hundreds a day, and that’s AFTER SpamAssassin was done blocking stuff.
 * You can stick a period in between the bad and the bots, and it’ll get to me.

 * I should say that I received an e-mail from someone at GoDaddy regarding this
issue, and have forwarded him the technical information needed to investigate
   and hopefully resolve the problem.
 * I have no idea why it took this long to get a response.

 * I’m as lenient as possible with human browsers, much less so for bots. After
all, automated processes are what Bad Behavior is designed to stop.
 * With respect to PubSub, they blame it on use of the libcurl library, and so far
have not fixed their bot. This may be true, but I see plenty of other bots using
   libcurl with no problem whatsoever.
 * From what I understand, libcurl also refuses to fix the problem from their end.
 * The moral of the story is: don’t use libcurl to build a bot.

 * Yeah, for 600MHz you need to tweak MySQL a bit.

 * You’re probably overpaying for capacity, even, unless you expect your blogs to
   get a whole lot bigger.
 * The information shown in top is the same as that you would get from free -m,
so that much doesn’t really matter.
 * It’s true you have about 200 megs free, and as long as you really don’t go into
   swap, you’re fine.
 * I’m running several sites, which get thousands of hits daily, on a tiny VPS with
160MB of RAM. It doesn’t even go into swap. So you could probably do with a lot
   less than you have.

 * Did you read the link about how Linux manages memory that I provided?
 * Anyway, it still isn’t WordPress using the memory; it’s MySQL and apache.
 * Come back when it starts going more into swap. Until then, there doesn’t appear
   to be a problem.

 * First off, WordPress isn’t hogging your memory.
 * From your minimalist paste, it doesn’t look like anything is wrong. Linux normally
   [takes up all available RAM](http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=175419)
   for disk cache, buffers, etc.
 * Since you aren’t really swapping, it looks like you’ve got plenty of RAM.
 * In other words, I don’t see anything wrong. Are you having any specific trouble?

 * As best I can tell this problem is specific to Firefox 1.5. I never saw it prior
to updating. But I’m not sure exactly what the problem IS…

 * I have a spell check plugin which doesn’t use aspell, has lots of Ajax goodness,
and will probably be easy enough to make work with WP 2.0’s WYSIWYG interface.(
It currently doesn’t.) It’s BSD licensed. Contact me if you’re interested. 🙂

 * A spell checker that doesn’t use aspell? Just how much are you offering, and
when do you want it? And what did you want it to use instead of aspell?
