 * Thanks so much for your response Elise, I’m not sure what the protocol is with
   Sendspace and how it differs from Amazon S3 but a Sendspace file URL looks like
   this:
    [https://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/8r1fy9](https://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/8r1fy9)–
   so it has no media file extension on the end
 * I have used Amazon S3 before and the file URL’s look like this:
 * [https://s3.amazonaws.com/s3hub-21c6cddac4965a20a36b6edcd1470n5ee29153055d2c5fefd5105c98f/Client+Records/Buchter+100313.mp3](https://s3.amazonaws.com/s3hub-21c6cddac4965a20a36b6edcd1470n5ee29153055d2c5fefd5105c98f/Client+Records/Buchter+100313.mp3)–
   which has the file name and extension included
 * There’s obviously a difference in protocol on how the download request is read,
   maybe I need to change to S3!
 * Thanks again for your feedback.
 * Cheers
    Angel

 * Hi again, I have installed the WC plugin as per your guide and as soon as the
   initial setup is complete I go to add a product. When adding the URL or location
   of a downloadable product, if I use a ‘https’ URL link (provided by Sendspace–
   the download link is behaving normally when pasted into a web browser, so link
   is 100% working), when I go to update the page to make it live the page refreshes
   and states ‘page not found’ and the URL is not saved to the product page, therefore
   making payment impossible. However when I link to a small test file stored in
   my media library (this is also a URL but ‘http’ and not ‘https’), the product
   page updates without issue and the payment/download process works perfectly.
 * So the only obvious difference between the two tests would appear to be http
   vs https URL’s.
 * Any wisdom you can provide as to what the problem is would be highly appreciated!
 * Thanks again
    Angel
