Don’t give up on me, but my Site and Profile both have FTP enabled. I waited the one to five minutes they suggested but I’m still not getting FTP to work! I checked and I already set up a username and password. Those aren’t the problem. The problem is the hostname. How do I know what to put there? I tried my url (writeornot.com) and I get the error, so that isn’t it. I tried using the Connect to: info that I use to make Fugu (ftp client) connect and that didn’t work. I get the error ‘Failed to connect to FTP Server lawrencesql.db:21’ every time I enter my hostname, username and password. They are all definitely correct. So I did a search and found the above solutions, but I need to navigate to wordpress on my server in order to get them to work. I left the database itself alone, but everything else went. Then I reinstalled wordpress. I lost my two weeks of work (it was backed up, i’ll survive) but I can log into wordpress again. I couldn’t upload any images. So I deleted wp completely using Fugu and then reinstalled it and it fixed the bug.
