 * OK – I think I got it. there was a side widget that had the code sneakily placed
   in it.

 * OK I did both of those and the ad persists. I also had my provider check for

 * Thank you for the reply. It’s very frustrating. I’m checking the footer.php and
   none of that copy is in there. I can’t find where it’s hidden. I’m sure this 
   is a newly experience, but I just can’t locate that code either thru WP Editor
   or looking through individual files.

 * I should have also included that I’ve tried the fix blank space plugin and it
   didn’t help.
