Thank you. I had actually read that post before, but I missed a vital part of what he was saying. I didn’t grasp what he was saying about adding the extra site administrator capabilities to the existing admin user in the the _usermeta table by adding 2 extra records where the value in the meta_key field has the prefix of the 2nd set of tables for the secondary site.
