 * it wasn’t the coming soon plugin that was interfering, i’d deactivated it yesterday
   but was able to resolve this issue last night and reactivated it.
    thanks for
   your response.

 * also, based on what i’ve seen in other threads, there have been issues related
   to access to the xmlrpc.php file. it exists…i’m looking at it via ftp access
   to my site, so not sure if it needs to be in a certain place in order for jetpack
   to see it?

 * so, does anyone from the developer respond to issues in this ‘support’ forum?
   there doesn’t appear to be any other option for support on this plugin.

 * nevermind. i still don’t know what the problem was, but i just started from scratch
   for a 3rd time and it appears to be working.

 * the “preview” function in the plugin also shows me the same thing. oddly, i’ve
   found that it appears with no problem on my chrome for ios browser, although
   it doesn’t reflect the fact that i removed the bullet navigation and applied
   a different skin.
 * DISREGARD THIS.
    after creating a new slider, it does not work on either my desktop
   or mobile browsers.

 * i’ve actually gotten it to show up by selecting the option in advanced settings
   to load assets on all pages.

 * unfortunately, i had to edit the plugin files in the editor window (which i know
   is not recommended), but after selecting the jquery pinit plugin from the drop-
   down menu, choose the file: jquery-pin-it-button-for-images/js/script.js. if
   you search the page for “pin it”, you should find some code that looks like this:
 *     ```
       function jpibfiCreatePinitButton( indexer ){

       			var $anchor = jQuery('<a/>', {
       				href: '#',
       				"class": 'pinit-button',
       				"data-jpibfi-indexer": indexer,
       				text: "Pin It"
       			});
       ```
 * i just removed the words Pin It (but left the quotation marks).
 * you should do the same in the file called: jquery-pin-it-button-for-images/js/
   script.min.js
 * the line of code will be different, but you’ll still see text: “Pin It” and if
   you just delete the words they won’t appear on your images.
 * i’m not actually sure why that text is even included, and i’m definitely not
   sure if mine is the “right” way to get rid of it, but it worked and doesn’t seem
   to have affected the plugin’s operation at all.
