 * Hi,
This is Ecwid support team. Thank you for your feedback!
 * Let me address your concerns:
 * > This is a javascript application that runs in the client’s browser. The e-commerce
   > store’s HTML is created in the client’s browser, not by WordPress, selecting
   > products and navigating between products is done in the client’s browser, independent
   > of WordPress, the current URL and current title is updated in the client’s
   > browser, not by WordPress. This is only a “WordPress plugin” in the sense that
   > WordPress adds the e-commerce store’s javascript to the content area of one
   > page – everything else happens in the client’s browser.
 * Ecwid stores are indeed hosted on Ecwid servers, not on WordPress. However, Ecwid
store added to WordPress is still a part of a WordPress site. When you add Ecwid
to a WordPress site, the store embeds into the page source code and the store
elements become a part of DOM. You can find store elements, SEO tags, JSON and
Microdata markup in the page source code, and Google bots are able to find and
   crawl such pages.
 * We use different technologies including JavaScript in order to improve page surfing
and speed up the checkout. Clients don’t have to wait for the page to load each
time they navigate between store pages. Also, we recently released new features
that improved the load speed of Ecwid stores and Google PageSpeed Insights scores.
 * > All product data is located on another website, not in your WordPress database.
 * We use cloud-based solution because it has several advantages:
    - Ecwid is independent of site hosting. We use reliable and secure servers to
store Ecwid data and CDN that provides fast delivery of content to clients.
In case of any security breaches on your WordPress site, the store data will
      be intact.
    - We regularly scan Ecwid for breaches and protect this information with software
updates and backups of your stores’ information.
    - Ecwid plugin is light and doesn’t take much space on your hosting account.
So you won’t need to pay for expensive hosting additionally in case you have
a lot of products since all data are stored on the Ecwid side.
 * > If you’re hoping to use an SEO plugin with this, or for any plugin or theme
   > to get any information from this plugin’s products, forget it.
 * You can get store data for developing custom integrations via Ecwid API. Here’s
the link to our API documentation: [](https://api-docs.ecwid.com/reference/overview)
 * Regarding SEO, Ecwid is compatible with various WordPress SEO plugins, and it
has its own features that automatically add SEO tags to the store pages’ source
code. If you would like to change SEO data for your products and categories,
you can do it in the Ecwid admin account.
 * May I ask if there is any plugin/theme that you use and that is incompatible
with Ecwid? Please, let me know what issue you faced and we’ll check how it can
   be fixed. Thank you!
 * Looking forward to hearing from you!

 * Hi! This is Ecwid by Lightspeed Support team.
 * As I understand, you are concerned that Ecwid slows down your website when it’s
embedded directly into your page via the widget/shortcode. Could you please share
what tools you used for testing your site speed? Do you reproduce the slow loading
   issue visually as well?
 * If possible, please, share a link to the page where Ecwid is embedded directly(
without iframe) so that we could check what affects the slow loading and see
how it can be fixed. Thanks!
 * As for iframe, I should say that we don’t recommend embedding Ecwid into iframe
   due to the following limitations:
    - The links are not updated: when you browse the store that has been put into
an iframe, the URL doesn’t change, which negatively affects the website indexing—
Google cannot fetch the URLs properly.
    - The iframe containers are isolated from the rest of the page. So, if you add
Ecwid widget and Shopping Bag widget into different iframes, the product browser
won’t be able to update the shopping cart, as it basically won’t be able to
detect the bag widget on the page.
 * It also may cause issues with the store display and design. Ecwid cannot control
the behavior of iframes. That’s why we recommend adding Ecwid to WordPress via
the plugin directly to WordPress pages.
 * As another option, you can use Ecwid Instant site as a platform for your store
and link it to your WordPress site. Here’s the link to your Instant site: [https://store26760173.company.site/](https://store26760173.company.site/).
 * Please, share more details about the slow loading issue you faced and we’ll check
how it can be fixed. Thanks!
 * Looking forward to hearing from you!

 * Hi, thank you for the reply.
 * We have tried to reproduce the issue once more, yet, did not manage to do it.
 * Could you please try to delete the theme that was used to reproduce the issue,
and then set it up again? This might help to resolve the issue.
 * Also, perhaps, contacting Polylang Support Team can clarify the situation. If
any additional details are needed, feel free to let us know.

 * Hi again,
 * I’ve also wanted to add that our developers are aware of the soft 404 issue and
the ticket is reported to them, yet so far there’s no ETA on the fix.
 * As for your second question, apparently, this behavior is reproduced if Ecwid
product browser is added to the site’s home page. We didn’t plan to fix it so
far, yet I’ll pass on your feedback to our developers so that they could see
how it can be improved. Could you please also share if you or your clients faced
any difficulties because of the possibility to open Ecwid product pages on other
   site pages? Thank you!

 * Hi there! This is Ecwid by Lightspeed team. Thanks for the reply!
 * I’ve checked the page you sent: [https://wellnwell.co.za/?page_id=670&et_fb=1&PageSpeed=off](https://wellnwell.co.za/?page_id=670&et_fb=1&PageSpeed=off)(
I assume that this is the page where your Ecwid store have been) and as I see,
now, there is no store there now. Screenshot: [https://ecwid.d.pr/i/DaMmrp](https://ecwid.d.pr/i/DaMmrp).
 * Currently, you have only the “Store” title in the Navigation menu. I’ve looked
into your website’s source code and found a piece of code that needs to be removed.
   Here’s it:
 * `<li id="menu-item-671" class="menu-item menu-item-type-ecwid_menu_item menu-
   item-object-ecwid-store-with-categories menu-item-671"><a>Store</a></li>`
 * Once you remove it, this title will be gone from the navigation menu.
 * Please, refer to this article to edit the source code of your WordPress website:

 * Hope this helps!

 * Hi there! This is Ecwid by Lightspeed. Thanks for your message, and sorry for
a delayed reply. Hope you’re doing well.
As far as I see, you still see a part
of the Ecwid shortcode on one of your website pages. To fix it, in your WordPress
Admin go ‘Pages’ section and open a page where your Ecwid store was added, then
remove the current shortcode for an Ecwid store. If you still see the shortcode
on your site, please, send us a link to this page, and we’ll check it further.
 * When it comes to the second part of your message, as far as I understand, you’re
referring to the navigation menu, right?
If so, here I found some instructions
for you on this topic – [https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-add-navigation-menu-in-wordpress-beginners-guide/](https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-add-navigation-menu-in-wordpress-beginners-guide/).

 * Hi!
 * The update is being rolled out gradually, so you may not see the result right
now. If you don’t want to wait any longer, you can enable it on your site with
   these steps:
    1. Open the hidden plugin settings page **/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ec-params**.
    2. Switch the **ecwid_static_home_page_enabled** parameter to **Y**.
    3. Switch the **ecwid_defer_store_init_enabled** parameter to **Y**.
    4. Click **Save**.
    5. Clear cache in your WP caching plugin.
 * Once done, the update will be enabled for your site.
 * Also, we really appreciate your feedback! Thank you!
