Hi. I’m back. 🙁
So, now I haven’t had a single email confirming a subscriber, but I can see that people have subscribed (and confirmed) when I scroll through the email subscriber list. At first I figured that I had just inadvertently changed the settings so that it didn’t notify me each time I got a new subscriber, but once again the subscriber stat number is not changing. This is one of my most important stats as it tells me if my posts are useful enough to people that they want to read more and stay connected. Please advise.
Thank you!Forum: Everything else WordPress
In reply to: Blog Subscriber (Follower) Stat does not changeNekib, I’m actually not sure how it was fixed because I paid for a guided transfer and a happiness engineer helped. Apparently my subscribers were still associated with my old wordpress.com blog and needed to be moved over. Sorry I’m not more helpful!

Thank you Jeremy,
I figured it all out now. You fixed the problem and I made the “old” site private.@jeremy

Thank you! Problem is resolved!@jeremy Herve: Thank you for the reply. I made my own post about this matter, because I wasn’t sure if it is ok to post here. Anyways, I’m not sure what you mean about making it private. Could you let me know where I go to change that. Thank you!
@samankour: were you able to fix it?I recently made the transfer to self-hosted too and have noticed the exact same thing. I get a few emails a day saying that I have new followers and the stat never changes in my dashboard. I never had this problem before.

In reply to: Blog Subscriber (Follower) Stat does not changeThank you for your help. I went and changed the WP Super Cache Settings. I will see if that works. Also going to head over to the Jet Pack page because I am using that. I’m just not convinced that I fixed it with changing the cache settings because they looked like they were set appropriately.

In reply to: Home Page Photo is Covering Menus, Sidebars, etc.You are a genius! I wasn’t using photon, but I hadn’t deleted the old dsc_0024.jpg in my media library! So then the second photo in the post popped up HUGE on the homepage, so I went back and re-designated the image you sent as my featured image. IT worked! So now, I will need to figure out how to resize the images before putting them into the posts. I use Lightroom so I will try and figure that out. Thank you SO much for hanging in there with me.

In reply to: Home Page Photo is Covering Menus, Sidebars, etc.Thank you for all the help. So, I deleted the existing photo and re-uploaded the image with the one you sent me and once again, the photo looks fine in the post, but still there is this huge, macro image on the homepage. I’m so frustrated.
P.S. your friend’s site is great. It looks like she makes some wonderful things!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Home Page Photo is Covering Menus, Sidebars, etc.I just tried that and it didn’t seem to change it either. Starting to think I will try another theme!? Seems crazy that I should have to do that though. Thank you for your help.

In reply to: Home Page Photo is Covering Menus, Sidebars, etc.It is not a featured image, it is just calling it from the insert in my post. Wondering if I should change that to a featured image. Worth a try.

In reply to: Home Page Photo is Covering Menus, Sidebars, etc.I have now tried both Esmi’s suggestion and yours three times. The only change is within the actual post itself. The homepage still has a giant image over most of the screen.

In reply to: Home Page Photo is Covering Menus, Sidebars, etc.Thank you for your quick response. I tried that already. Changed the size to thumbnail, then tried medium. That changed the size of the photo in the actual post, but did not have any impact on the “macro” image on the homepage.
