 * Hi [@shanafourde](https://wordpress.org/support/users/shanafourde/)
    Thanks –
   I tried adding the lines to robots.txt file. It does help a little but unfortunately
   not much. We used to use wp-super-cache with it but by activating this, it went
   way over the allowed resource usage. I deactivated it and have installed Quick
   Cache and this helped and our site is currently back and running again, but then
   only marginally. The CPU usage is still 75-100% most of the time and any additional
   overload would certainly kill the site.
 * I just saw [@nicola](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nicola/).peluchetti’s
   update above – thanks. In fact, before finding this thread, this is the first
   thing I tried and tested but it hardly helped. My site only has now events on
   and after 1st May.

 * We have been having a similar issue since 31 May on our site. CPU usage has been
   100% and physical and virtual memory usage are all time high before the plugin
   was deactivated. The number of occurrences of the line showing Out of memory
   error associated with ai1ec files on 31 May is 10523. Here is the error log.
   Hope it helps.

 * Upgraded to 1.8.4-premium and noticed that the widget pop up is showing only
   a part of it as well. Is there a way to disable this pop up in the widget?
 * I would still like to keep the calendar view pop up though as it is nice.
 * My real site with the upgraded plugin is here:

 * In fact, I have tried it in 3 different installations (3 different WP sites).
   The one you have seen was created to show you the problem on a clean, fresh installation(
   only buddypress and this theme called suffusion were installed anew plus all
   in one event calendar) . With my real site that I happen been preparing, I have
   more plugins and so I thought it would be better to create a clean one to confirm
   it is not working. the other one was an earlier test site, in which I first noticed
   this issue but it has been deleted).
 * Yes I think it is a theme issue because I know it worked with the default WP
   theme. I really like your plugin as well as the theme I use and so it is a shame
   that it doesn’t work together.

 * Hi, Sayontan
    Thanks for your prompt response and I am sorry for the delay in
   getting back to you.
 * I thought I’d tried that setting and it did not work too but it now looks like
   the browser might have not refreshed the page that time and I did not see the
   change.
 * Anyway it is working now. Thank you.

 * Hi, thanks for your response.
 * I did change the name of the event page – could this be the cause of the problem?
 * Another difference is that the Events page (now called Jazz Events) is set up
   as my home page, so the actual permalink to the Events page is [http://londonjazz.net/](http://londonjazz.net/)(
   this was set up by the theme when I set it up so that the homepage should redirect
   to point to this page).
 * I changed the name from ‘events’ to ‘Jazz events’ for SEO but if this is a problem,
   I can put it back. On the other hand, I don’t really want to change ‘Events page
   = Home page’ setting.
 * I have been using this set up for some time now, and everything looked working
   so I kept it.
 * My permalink Slugs in the EM settings page are currently set up as having (as
   set up in default):
 * Events – events
    Locations – events/locations Event Categories – events/categories
   Event Tags – events/tags
 * I am not using Categories and Tags pages because I get 404 errors (I have a support
   ticket for this but I don’t need them and so it is not a problem for me).
