 * Thanks for your response.
 * The situation I have is one of variable products with attributes like: Age Group
   and Gender, which are needed in the feed for my product vertical.
 * But these 2 attributed are not used in variations, although they are attached
   to the relevant products and can show on the singular product page. There is 
   a single value for each attribute. Are you saying that these attributes must 
   be used in the variations to be picked up?

 * Thanks for your response. I did in fact install that very plugin on my local 
   host and it ‘worked’.
 * However, I was thinking that this is something WooCommerce should take care of
   and wondered if I was missing something.
 * I think I try and put the redirect code together myself using wp_redirect() wrapped
   in a conditional for when the shop is also the front page, since we intend to
   revert the blog to the front page once we have build up enough blog content.

 * The URLs are dummy representations obviously and should not have been hyperlinked.
