 * Esmi! There you are again! My constant.. wordpres angel! You always save me 🙂
   If I rename the plugins directory it’ll show the page contents again. I think
   it’s a plug in that’s causing this. I’m creating a new plug in directory and
   uploading my backed up plug in in there.
 * I kept the old EMPTY plugins directory I created last time (plugins.1) after
   I renamed my plugins.old (real plugins folder) back to plugins. Now, I renamed
   my plugins folder to plugins.old and renamed my plugins.1 (which has a backup
   folder in it) to plugins. I helped, I could see the contents. But after I renamed
   the plugins to plugins.1 again and the plugins.old to plugins (back to its normal
   state), again I could not see the contents.
 * This is where I thought of doing either of 2 things:
 * 1. Create a plugins.2 folder, upload my backed up plugins in this folder and
   try to rename it to plugins after going through the same process as above to
   see if it works.
 * Or
 * 2. Rename my current plugins folder to plugins.hold and move plugins one by one
   from plugins.hold to plugins to see which is causing this problem.
 * What would you advise?
    Thanks!

 * Esmi, thanks. I didn’t change anything in the wp-content folder, as I saw indeed
   that everything was in there… I only replaced the wp-admin, wp-includes, and
   the files in the root folder (and of course deleting and keeping those as specified
   on this page [http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress_Extended](http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress_Extended).
   I’ve been also reading this page [http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress_Extended#Step_8:_Upload_the_new_files](http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress_Extended#Step_8:_Upload_the_new_files).
 * So after a doing the above, I went on to run wp-admin/upgrade.php, but it said
   that I’m already upgraded.
 * Now I reactivated my plugins, renamed mu old plugins folder to it its old name,
   renamed my theme back to its own name and my page looks like 2 hours ago…
 * What would I done without you! Thanks soooo much!

 * Hi there! ‘Got a question – I’ve done up to step 4 without any problems. Deleted
   the files and folders specified here [http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress_Extended](http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress_Extended).
   Though it says on wordpress’ page: “8.Upload the new files from your computer’s
   hard drive to the appropriate WordPress folder on your site.” This is my questions…
   Do I replace the files in the folders that were not deleted with the new files
   of verion 3.01?

 * Esmi, thanks! I just entered wp-admin! Phew! Wow, that was a scare. I’m new to
   wordpress, but I love it! I’m trying to go through the upgrade manually. I hope
   it goes well… You’ll all hear if not … pls stay put to give me a hand in case
   it doesn’t? Thanks a million!
