 * After getting anxious, and not finding any other helpful information on the forums
   or web, I decided to just bite the bullet and do a complete reinstall after downloading
   WordPress again (after all, there was really no content on my page yet).
 * For whatever reason, it worked. And I now have the “Add Media” box when I click
   the button.
 * Not sure what caused this. Both times all the files were uploaded successfully
   to my FTP.
 * Oh well… it’s working now.

 * I’m using Chrome. But I also tried it in Firefox, and got the same result.
 * Per your advice, I tried clearing my browsers cache, restarting it, and deleting
   the two default plug-ins (neither we active, but just to be sure), and still,
   nothing happens when I click “Add Media.”
 * The only thing I did notice is that, when I click “Add Media.” my URL changes
   from
 * [http://dugwebb.com/home/wp-admin/post-new.php](http://dugwebb.com/home/wp-admin/post-new.php)
 * to:
 * [http://dugwebb.com/home/wp-admin/post-new.php#](http://dugwebb.com/home/wp-admin/post-new.php#)
 * Is that pound sign/hashtag trying to tell me something?
