 * First: Thanks for the link!
    Secondly: I did a straitforward install. Install
   php script worked fine. I can log into the administrator page and change things.
   When I access the main blog page (index.php) I get an internal server error. 
   This exact behavior is reported on a number of places on the web. (The second
   set of database tables seems to have been set up properly, BTW). Third: URL-rewriting?
   I’m not sure what that is.
 * Don’t get the idea that I don’t know that wordpress is VERY cool. My first instance
   on this server has been working flawlessly.
