  • I’ve already updated my wp_config.php file with

    define('WP_PROXY_HOST', '999.999.1.1');   //<---Replace with yours
    define('WP_PROXY_PORT', '8080');
    define('WP_PROXY_USERNAME', 'user');
    define('WP_PROXY_PASSWORD', 'password');
    define('WP_PROXY_BYPASS_HOSTS', 'localhost,');

    Changing the IP to the one provided by Godaddy.
    The WP_PROXY_PORT 8080 does not work, but it does if I change it to 80.

    Now, when I do get started, and try to browse my own domain, I get a “pageok” message on the browser window. I do see in the browser address bar (when entering that it changes to “”, and the “pageok” in the browser window.
    I’m not able to browse any websites,, etc, or even my own Godaddy hosted domain.

    I contacted Godaddy support and they were no help. I asked if there was a dedicated port, they said it was 80, no other support.
    I also took out the bypass_host to just localhost. Same “pageok” message when browsing my own domain.

    Anyone out there has an idea of what I’m doing wrong?

    Running a Godaddy hosted WordPress site. Want to be able to use a bot to use the assigned server IP to browse Google and Instagram and see how different IPs are given different search results.

    So, my bot would use (example IP 999.999.1.1) as a proxy: 999.999.1.1:8080

    I’ve been having the same problem since March 21, 2012. I have WordPress 3.5.1, and Jetpack 2.2.1

    I have done the Jetpack suggestion of X out facebook, go to facebook, take out the wordpress app approval, go back to Jetpack and add a new facebook connection.

    When I create a post, I click on the “Publicize: Edit” and see that the Facebook box is checked.

    After uploading/publishing the post, nothing is updated to facebook. I go back to my post, and click on the “Publicize: Edit” and now the Facebook box is UNCHECKED.

    I go to Jetpack-publicize-configuire, click on add new facebook connection, and the radio button is unchecked. If I check/select the radio button, click OK, and save. Then I go back and the radio button is still unchecked.

    It has to be a bug with Jetpack that is not saving the selections, and thus unable to publicize when uploading/publishing a post.

    Any ideas of a work-around?
