 * Profile ID does mean view ID.
 * I faced the same issue as you described above. Might be worthwhile checking your
   admin email for the error message. In my case this was the error:
 * `Google Analytics API has not been used in project 291292916332 before or it 
   is disabled. Enable it by visiting [https://console.developers.google.com/apis/api/analytics.googleapis.com/overview?project=XXXXXXXXX](https://console.developers.google.com/apis/api/analytics.googleapis.com/overview?project=XXXXXXXXX)
   then retry. If you enabled this API recently, wait a few minutes for the action
   to propagate to our systems and retry
 * If that is the case then it is simply a matter of clicking on that link and authorizing
   google analytics API to be used with your cloud account.
