 * Thanks for your suggestion. I am testing it now, but i gues the problem has to
   be something with the plugin wordfence and the amounth of available memory in
   the system. I upgraded it to 1gb and now it seems to work normally.

 * The only thing whats different; when adding a new user, i have the option to 
   send the password. That option is missing in the screen of wp-members
