So you know this know this Neptune and you learned it in a very difficult way! * (@wfsupport) Why would you advise people to follow those steps as they will bring their website offline just like what happen now to Neptune….. Do you know what a shock to the heart that is when this happens?? * Unless something has changed in the past 2-3 months(it took me weeks to figure out what happen) Do the second suggestion which should be the only advice IMO here: * “1:If you prefer (should be, “You need to do it this way exactly!” Not “if you prefer”..), activate Wordfence Assistant FIRST! 2:n the General Options page look for the General Wordfence Options section. Check the box to “Delete Wordfence tables and data on deactivation” and save changes. 3:Go back to the plugins page, deactivate and then delete Wordfence.” * So from my experience, do it exactly like that and you won’t have a mini heart attack when you see 503 offline! * I hope my info is correct here and helps clear up and trouble. I have inserted that line in increase the pHp memory and now I believe I have my site back. * I was resistant to try this as I remember addressing the pHp memory problem before and increased it already. Now there is no evidence of my changes and all is empty. * Except for now. * The website has backend access. Before that there was ZERO problems. I only deactivated the plugin and it’s shut my site down now for weeks. I just don’t get how a plugin could do this. I mean, there should be a little notification popup or something that this could happen when you click on deactivate this plugin. OR why not create the plugin not to kill the website if you decide not to use their plugin? * Has this not been talked about?
