 * That does look like what I want to do, but I’m still a bit confused. I understand
   that I am setting up a new page that only logged in users can see, but how do
   I add posts to that particular page?
 * Thanks so much for the help and please forgive my ignorance.

 * I’m not afraid of coding it in php but I was looking for a plugin that I could
   use to do this.
 * I’m planning on buying a template that has the blog url in a format like:
    mysite.
   com/?page_id=21
 * How do I configure the template to only apply to that page and not any of the
   others?
 * Thanks for helping!
