In reply to: THIS IS BS! Can’t change HEADER IMAGE!Well, IF you uploaded your image to the right folder (e.g., the folder for the theme you’re using) AND you called it correctly in that theme’s header and/or your style.css file (which you also uploaded), then it should be displaying.
Since you’ve not provided a link to your site, nor given any actual detail of what you’ve done, it’s hard to guess what the problem is.

In reply to: WordPress 2.0.6 — /feeds/ link doesn’t work anymorepittfall, welcome to the forums.
You should probably post your question as a new topic, rather than appending it to someone else’s totally disrelated question.

In reply to: Invalid CodeNever thought of that one, vkaryl. Interesting.

In reply to: Invalid CodeAh, the problem is that you’re putting characters *after* these pairs:
<li></li>That is, you cannot have:
<li></li> something hereIf you want the “pipe” character between them, try adding a border-left (or right) to your li a in your stylesheet. You’ll also have to do a border-left:none to the left-most link (or border-right:none to the right-most link), but that will do it.

In reply to: Upgrade ProblemsI don’t see a blank white screen, but a wall of text that looks like an RSS feed.
You didn’t tell us *what* you did to upgrade. (Kind of like telling us that your “car doesn’t work” without any detail.)
Also, bear in mind that WordPress blogs have two parts: the WordPress files, and the database.

In reply to: Problems with calendarNot sure what the problem might be here. The default calendar works fine without having to edit links (I’m using WP2.0.5, and upgrading today).

In reply to: Editorial Commentary Before Post instead of after.I guess I’m not understanding. Why could you not put the editorial text before the “clippings” in the post itself?

In reply to: Duplicate Content Problem – Shift from Blogspot to WordPressI know zero about how Blogspot works, but I think the 301 redirect would be most elegant; that said, if you had a *lot* of posts, your .htaccess file would be pretty long. And, of course, if Blogspot doesn’t allow .htaccess, that’s no answer.
If this were me and if I couldn’t 301 redirect, I guess I would go with editing the Blogspot posts down to a snippet, with a huge link that said “We’ve moved … please continue reading at newsite.” Something like that.
That would, at once, resolve your duplicate content, notifying people that you’ve moved, and get them to your new site.
This kind of issue is one of the reasons why I’m not keen on recommending hosted-on-someone-else’s-domain blogs. And if you’ve gotten a lot of links to your Blogspot blogs, it will be difficult to get them repointed to your new site.

In reply to: Help! WP crashing IE!Looks like you’ve used a Dreamweaver template, which is one way to go.
However, in what I presume is your content area, you’ve started the header again — starting with the doctype.
These will need to be cleaned up, and then I’d suggest validating your code; it’s the easiest way to glory.

In reply to: What files to replace a potentially corrupt WP?I tried refreshing a few times and noticed some odd issues:
– after the first refresh, the page went blank, but refreshing again brought it back.
– on some refreshes, the design became about 1 1/2 inches less wide (on my monitor); I’m not sure what that indicates, but it’s definitely odd.

In reply to: HELP!!???!!!I’m glad to hear you got it all back, Rene.
vkaryl, I think what was being referenced was an index.html page with a meta-refresh to the rest of the site on the other server; that’d be my guess.

In reply to: HELP!!???!!!Okay. That’s bit of relief #1. 🙂
The blog.sql is a mysqldump of the blog posts and other settings. Keep that safe (along with the files you downloaded) and don’t touch them. If you need to edit them, make a copy first. (Copies are good.)
Next, are you able to log into your admin panel? I thought you said you couldn’t, but let me know. If you can, I’d try switching back to another theme to see if it fixes things; if so, then there’s something wrong with the theme.
Hm. Something like this could be the problem: the theme was set up for the blog to be in the main site directory (e.g., site.com) rather than a subdirectory. Although that *shouldn’t* be a problem, I’m just thinking aloud. Did it also include a new index.php page for the “root” of your blog?

In reply to: HELP!!???!!!Okay.
The posts are in the database, not in the WordPress folders and files. If you or your web host can do a backup, that would be essential. (Actually, it’s best to do the backup before you do anything new, but it’s a little late for that; however, as you mentioned that the database files still seem to be there, that’s the good news.)
The first thing I would do at this point is to ask your web host to do a database backup (a “mysqldump”).
After that, we can sort out just what went wrong here, which is a little mystifying.
Hmmm. Have you tried dumping your browser cache?
I ask because I can see your blog just fine at http://www.reddephotography.com/
