 * Hi Umberto,
 * thanks for your reply. You have manually enabled this feature in your WordPress
   backend at _Cookies > Customize banner > Consent options > Continue without consent
   > Show close icon, to continue without consent_. There, you can also disable
   it.
 * Best regards,

 * Hi Umberto,
 * Thank you for your feedback. I can understand your wish. However, it is contrary
   to the legal opinion that an action requires a clear description if it is to
   be as visually invisible as possible, which I would advise against. A better
   option would be to deactivate the optional “X”, as there is no legal obligation
   to implement it.
 * Currently, the tooltip does not have an HTML element selector that you can use
   to apply CSS effectively. If you would like the featured despite the legal situation,
   please open a support ticket at devowl.io/support so that one of our developers
   can check whether this request can be implemented.
 * Best regards,
   Jan

 * Hi [@umberto69](https://wordpress.org/support/users/umberto69/),
 * Thank you for your request. We must point out that the following statements do
   not constitute legal advice. Therefore, I can only give you evaluations from
   our intensive experience with the EU legal regulations in practice and a technical
   assessment of the situation.
 * Many data protection supervisory authorities in EU countries are of the opinion
   that actions in cookie banners that lead to a selection must be clearly labeled.
   An “X” symbol is not a sufficient or clear labeling of the action.
 * Therefore, the tooltip must be displayed. On non-touch devices, it appears when
   you hover over the “X” with the mouse pointer. There is no hover effect on touch
   devices, which is why the tooltip must always be displayed.
 * This cannot be deactivated, as we would like to offer you a solution for a cookie
   banner that is as legally compliant as possible.
 * I hope for your understanding!
 * Best regards,
   Jan

 * Hallo @youngtimer,
 * danke für deine Anfrage. Real Cookie Banner erkennt normalerweise deine Sitemap
 * Eröffne bitte unter [devowl.io/de/support](https://devowl.io/de/support/) ein

 * Hi @umberto69m,
 * thanks for your question. You find the so-called legal links to display an option
   to show the history of consents, change the consents and revoke consents in your
   WordPress backend at _Cookies > Consent > Legal links_.
 * If you already tried to add these shortcodes or menu items to your website, where
   should I find them on your website?

 * Hi [@jackmac71](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jackmac71/),
 * I am sorry that you are no longer satisfied with Real Media Library. You are
   right that Real Media Library currently only has compatibility, maintenance and
   translation updates, as our team has a slightly different focus at the moment.
   However, we are collecting new feature ideas to improve Real Media Library again
   with full power in the future.
 * Regarding the performance issues, we recommend that you open a support ticket
   at devowl.io/support so that we can look into your individual case. Real Media
   Library is generally designed to be as resource efficient as possible and has
   been tested with thousands of files in the media library. Should you still have
   performance problems, we will be happy to take a look at what is going wrong
   in your individual case.

 * Hi Themis,
 * thanks for your additions and research. We must point out that the following
   statements do not constitute legal advice. Therefore, I can only give you evaluations
   from our intensive experience with the EU legal regulations in practice and a
   technical assessment of the situation.
 * It is correct that there has been a new legal basis for EU-US data transfer since
   June 2023 with the TADPF (adequacy decision according to Art. 45 GDPR). We have
   also reported on this topic in our blog at [https://devowl.io/2023/us-data-processing-tadpf/](https://devowl.io/2023/us-data-processing-tadpf/).
   In order for data processing in the USA to be considered secure, companies must
   self-certify. Cloudflare, Inc. is self-certified in accordance with the requirements
   of the TADPF (see entry at [https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/list](https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/list)).
   This means that EU-US data transfer is currently no longer a problem for Cloudflare.
 * However, Cloudflare operates servers in at least the following countries that
   are considered unsafe in terms of the level of data protection in the EU, whereby
   the personal data of your website visitors could be processed there (as of March
   2024): Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Antigua And Barbuda, Armenia, Australia,
   Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belarus, Belize, Benin, Bhutan,
   Bolivia, Bosnia And Herzegovina, Botswana, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Burkina
   Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad,
   Chile, China, Colombia, Comoros, Congo, Congo, Democratic Republic, Costa Rica,
   Cuba, Djibouti, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Equatorial
   Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Fiji, Gabon, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, Grenada, Guatemala,
   Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Iran, Islamic
   Republic Of, Iraq, Jamaica, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kiribati, North Korea,
   Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia,
   Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Madagascar, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Marshall
   Islands, Mauritania, Mauritius, Macedonia, Mexico, Federated States Of Micronesia,
   Moldova, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia,
   Nauru, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Palau, Panama, Papua
   New Guinea, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Qatar, Russian Federation, Rwanda, Saint
   Kitts And Nevis, Saint Lucia, Samoa, San Marino, Sao Tome And Principe, Saudi
   Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands,
   Somalia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Suriname, Swaziland, Syrian Arab Republic,
   Taiwan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tonga, Trinidad And
   Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates,
   Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Holy See (Vatican City State), Venezuela, Vietnam, Yemen,
   Zambia and Zimbabwe.
 * In our opinion, the best solution to the problem with the other unsafe third
   countries is the agreement of Standard Contractual Clauses with Cloudflare, which
   Cloudflare also provides for the conclusion of the contract ([https://www.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-customer-scc/](https://www.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-customer-scc/)).
   In the Cloudflare service of Real Cookie Banner you can state if you have concluded
   Standard Contractual Clauses. This means that your website visitors will see
   in the cookie banner that you are taking this appropriate safeguard to ensure
   the security of their personal data.
 * I hope this information helps you!
 * Best regards,
   Jan

 * Hi [@nikodemsky](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nikodemsky/),
 * First of all, I’m sorry that the regeneration of your thumbnails got stuck. Of
   course, this should not be the case and is not a “feature” to encourage you to
   buy the full version. You are welcome to open a support ticket at [devowl.io/support](https://devowl.io/support/)
   and we will look at what is going wrong in your specific WordPress installation
   in a timely manner. If the generation hangs, this is usually a sign of a compatibility
   problem with a third-party plugin.
 * Regenerating all thumbnails, which is the core function of the plugin, is of
   course included in the free version without restrictions. Only further options
   to fine-tune the regeneration are reserved for the full version.

 * Hi [@chrishechler](https://wordpress.org/support/users/chrishechler/),
 * Thank you for your interest in Real Cookie Banner. We must point out that the
   following statements do not constitute legal advice. Therefore, I can only give
   you evaluations from our intensive experience with the EU legal regulations in
   practice and a technical assessment of the situation.
 * With Real Cookie Banner you can obtain consent for the setting/reading of cookies
   in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive and for the processing of personal
   data in accordance with the GDPR. The services created in Real Cookie Banner
   not only inform the website visitor about the services, but only integrate them
   on your website after consent has been given. If a service is already necessarily
   integrated into your website (e.g. a YouTube video in an article), Content Blockers
   in Real Cookie Banner ensure that the loading of the element and the resulting
   data processing is blocked until consent is obtained. In addition, replacement
   content is displayed that asks for consent if the website visitor in the cookie
   banner has decided not to consent to YouTube, for example. This allows them to
   give their consent at a later point in time and then watch the video.
 * However, a cookie banner should not be used to obtain consent for newsletters
   in accordance with the legal provisions of Art. 7 (2) GDPR. According to the
   legal requirement, a clear distinction must be made between the circumstances
   in which consent is given. Consent to email marketing (and the collection of
   the email address in the cookie banner) is far removed from the active decision
   of the website visitor to subscribe to a newsletter for email marketing. You
   should therefore include a consent and unsubscribe process for email marketing
   in your newsletter tool. Most modern e-mail newsletter tools already have standard
   processes for this.
 * Best regards,
   Jan

 * Hi [@whitneyd](https://wordpress.org/support/users/whitneyd/),
 * Thank you for your interest in Real Cookie Banner. Our solution is currently
   focused on complying with the requirements in the EU. In this region, the [TCF v2](https://iabeurope.eu/transparency-consent-framework/)
   standard of IAB Europe is currently the relevant standard.
 * We are aware of the [IAB GPP](https://iabtechlab.com/gpp/) standard, which we
   have not yet implemented, as complaints are currently pending at the ECJ, which
   could or, in our opinion, will lead to the need for a TCF v3 standard or alternatively
   an adapted IAB GPP standard. As long as there is no legal clarity here, we will
   wait and see and then implement the version of the IAB GPP that is really relevant
   for EU website drivers.
 * I hope for your understanding!
 * Best regards,
   Jan
