BuddyPress itself overrides default WordPress avatar system, therefore WP First Letter Avatar will not work properly on a site with BuddyPress installed (no matter how extensively you use BuddyPress). If you get blank page, then I’m pretty sure there is some other error – what does your error log say? PHP error logs are usually on your FTP. If you have deactivated my plugin, there is no possibility that my plugin still displays the letter avatars. When plugin is deactivated, it just does not work in any way, so it is not possible that you see avatars generated by my plugin. What exactly do you mean by clubs? Do you mean groups? I’m sure they will do that immediately. * I am sorry for that, I was sure mbstring was a default extension, turns out it isn’t. Please go to the main plugin file (**wp-first-letter-avatar.php**) and navigate to line **386**. There is a line: `$file_name = $this->image_unknown;` You need to add additional line after this line, so that it looks like this: * ``` $file_name = $this->image_unknown; $file_name_mb = $this->image_unknown; ``` * I am sorry for this, I will fix it in the next release (shortly).
