 * Hey Frederick,
 * Thanks so much for getting back with me. I will check the error logs and see
   if there were errors at the time of activation. And I’ll f/u with you on your
   Web site. Thanks so much.
 * Derrick

 * Frederick when I attempt to activate W3TC I get a fatal error message.
 * Here it is:
 * Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
 * I uploaded it from the WordPress.org Plugins repository. I was following instructions
   but based on WordPress advice I didn’t mess with permissions because apparently
   I don’t have to:
 * NOTE: For the Automatic Upgrade/Install of Plugins/Themes and WordPress Upgrades,
   No special permissions need to be set. All WordPress files should remain owned
   by your user account (the user account the httpd runs as), You should NOT have
   to make them world writable(777). If you attempt to change the ownership/permissions
   of files in order to allow the upgrader to work, There is a high chance of bugs/
   issues poping up related to the incorrect permission scheme chosen.
 * I did have WP Super Cache but I deleted it per instructions. But I’m still a
   beginner at this and wondering if I didn’t do it correctly and it could be causing
   the activation error. I’m at a loss. Help!

 * Does anybody know how to uninstall WP Super Cache with the actual instructions
   that match the wording in the uninstall php file? Because apparently all the
   Web sites that offer the instructions seems to think non-existent “UNINSTALL_WPSUPERCACHE”
   is actually included in the uninstall php. It’s not.

 * This phrase “UNINSTALL_WPSUPERCACHE” does not exist in the uninstall.php. I’ve
   been looking for it for over an hour in the uninstall.php. It’s not there. But
   every single instruction offering on how to remove WP Super Cache says it is.
 * Here’s my uninstall.php file for WP Super Cache. The phrase is not there. You
   can’t make a change to a line of code if it doesn’t exist:

 * Drafts are showing up visible for my posts too. This never happened before but
   apparently now if I don’t make sure to make drafts “private” the public can see
   them.
 * THIS IS NOT COOL. And it is not anyone’s imagination. This JUST started when
   I updated to WordPress 3.1. I’m pretty sure a lot of people have yet to notice
   it.
 * It really sucks when I’m in the midst of working on an essay/post, save it at
   the end of the night and return the next morning like today, only to find out
   the unfinished post has been viewed 7 times.
 * NOT COOL! Anyone else out there having this problem?

 * You won’t believe this, but that’s what I originally was trying to do. However
   as luck would have it the person who created my theme removed the theme file
   from his Website. I’d went there to download it again.
 * I’m guessing that the functions.php file must be from that exact theme, correct?

 * My blog url now says [http://renwl.org/wordpress/](http://renwl.org/wordpress/).
 * Before it was [http://renwl.org/](http://renwl.org/).
 * Please tell I didn’t delete my old blog.

 * It worked. I named the file WordPress. I hope I did this right because now it
   looks like I have a brand new blog. Is there any way to get my posts back?

 * Yea, that’s just it. I got that error message when I tried to upload a fresh
   copy of WordPress. I attempted to do that through Fantastico on my Cpanel.

 * Yes. It is. But I noticed something. I have a folder named “renwl” and I have
   one named “renwl.org”
 * But the renwl.org is where all the WP files are stored.
 * There’s nothing but a single (1) theme file in the “renwl” folder.
