 * That was quick! Thank you. I can confirm that the error I reported (Fatal error:
   Can’t use method return value in write context… includes/db.php) has now gone
   away.

 * Good point.
 * The affected line is 156 of includes/db.php.
 * I think this may be caused by a limitation of the function empty() on versions
   below 5.5. I think I’m on 5. Upgrading my PHP version is not an option for me
   at the moment.

 * Yes, I’m getting the same error. Have you tested this on PHP5, as I suspect that
   may be the issue.
