The plugin is intended to be used without the regular wordpress comments enabled.
Simple Facebook Comments For WordPress requires the PDO class, which ships by default on most linux versions as of PHP 5.1.
It’s uncommon for a web server these days to not have it.

Shoot! Which version of the plugin are you installing and do you have a non standard wordpress directory structure? Which version of wordpress
are you running?
