 * Glad to hear, [@briefw](https://wordpress.org/support/users/briefw/)! Thanks
for letting me know. I’m marking this issue as resolved.
 * The forthcoming release has the fix that is covered by the delete/reinstall process
among other connection reliability improvements, so I’m hopeful that the experience
   will be improved.

 * Thanks for providing the log excerpt, [@briefw](https://wordpress.org/support/users/briefw/).
 * Completely deleting the plugin will delete all of the plugins settings (Dashboard
   > Contact form > Settings), so make a note of any settings you have there.
   (
Sorry for not pointing this out before!) Deleting the plugin will NOT delete
your forms or lists though — just the plugins settings are deleted.
 * For the record, deleting the plugin will delete some of the connection options
stored under the hood, which I believe is the source of your issue. This is one
of the things that we’re improving for the next release.

 * Hi kdcpelt,
 * There currently is not a way to prevent existing contact entries from being overwritten
when a another submission is made from the same email address.
 * I’ve created a ticket to consider adding this functionality in our backlog.
 * It should be possible to add a new option to the forms admin screen that will
enforce single submissions per email address. Enabling this would return an error
when a user submits another form when their email address already exists on the
associated list. Enabling this functionality would prevent an existing record
from being updated of course, but it sounds like that’s what you’re looking for.

 * Happy to hear that deactivating/reactivating solved the issue, webdept. I’ll
mark this ticket as resolved. Thanks, Michael Beckwith!

 * Hi clipscom, sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with the connection to
Constant Contact. We are currently testing an update that will make the connection
   more robust.
 * In the meantime, would you please try the following steps? (I know you’ve already
tried reconnecting, but these steps cover deleting and reinstalling the plugin
which clears out some additional connection settings which might be the source
   of your issue).
    - Deactivate the Constant Contact Forms plugin using the Dashboard > Plugins
      screen.
    - Delete the Constant Contact Forms plugin using the Dashboad > Plugins screen.
    - Download the Constant Contact Forms plugin from the plugin repo (Dashboard
      > Plugins > Add plugin. Search “Constant Contact Forms”).
    - Activate the Constant Contact Forms plugin.
    - Enable logging: WP Dashboard > Contact form > Settings > Support > click Enable
logging for debugging purposes, then save.
    - Reconnect to Constant Contact: Dashboard > Contact form > Connect.
 * **Connection steps:**
    - Dashboard > Contact form > Connect Now
    - Click the Connect button
    - A page will open with your authorization code or a login screen if you are
not already logged into Contstant Contact.
    - Click the “Copy Code” button.
    - Head back to your WP Dashboard and navigate to Contact form > Settings > Account
    - Paste the authorization code into the Auth code and state field, then click
      the Save Changes button.
 * You should now be connected.
 * If you continue to experience issues, please post the logs from Dashboard > Contact
   form > Debug logs.

 * Hi 3cstudio, glad you were able to resolve the issue, and I apologize for the
trouble. The v2.21.0 release did make some improvements to connection reliability
and logging. However, we have identified more room for improvement with regard
to maintaining the connection to Constant Contact.
 * We are currently working on an updated version that will again improve connection
   stability.

 * Hi eresath,
 * I’ve looked into this, and you should be able to remove the message by visiting
the following URL (replace your_site.com with your site’s URL):
   [https://your_site.com/wp-admin/index.php?ctct-dismiss=1&ctct-dismiss-action=deleted_forms](https://your_site.com/wp-admin/index.php?ctct-dismiss=1&ctct-dismiss-action=deleted_forms)
 * Please let me know if that takes care of it.
 * It looks like there is an underlying bug causing the issue, so I’ve created a
ticket internally to resolve the issue in an upcoming release.
