 * I probably compressed/zipped the folder and uploaded that way – make sure to 
   remove the existing plugin first though

 * Was getting the same issue with exceptions not working, then quickly tested the
   github version here which does seem to be working:

 * Note I didn’t test exceptions in the shortcode itself
