 * This issue is resloved.
    To do what i asked above, you must change the SKU – 
   and the product MUST HAVE A SKU (in my case, some products didnt have a skew,
   so it would not move). the lower the SKU number, the lower it will be positioned
   on the page.

 * yes, once im on the products categories page, i click the number of products 
   beside it, then it takes me to the prodcuts in that category.
 * From here i can “drap and drop” the items around the screen. Once i do this, 
   and i rerefresh my other browser window, the products stay in the same position(
   they dont move).
 * I’ve tried to “quick edit” and changed the “order” number and also changed the“
   SKU” number but when i refresh the other page, the products still dont move.
 * If i just “edit” the product, i found under the “attributes” tab, “menu order”…
   when i change it and update, the positon of the product still doesnt move.
 * thanks for continueing help.

   no effect:
