@tomlawesome Thanks so much for your summary of all the steps necessary. I’ve got my test install up and running but updates weren’t working:
An error occurred while updating Twenty Nineteen: Could not create directory.
Until I changed permissions on wp-content to 755.
Not sure whether that’s a security risk these days, or not. Probably is!
