 * This plugin is under development only when I get a specific feature request or
   bug report. I don’t actively use this plugin as it was developed at the request
   of other forum members.
 * Having said that, I will make the necessary modifications to allow this plugin
   to delete posts from only selected categories.
 * Give me a day or so to get the new features in..

 * This error has been fixed, and the update should be available shortly if you’re
   running WP 2.7 or please update manually..

 * Once the plugin is installed, go to the settings->auto delete posts page and
   in preview mode, set the the number of days of expiration to 0, this should show
   all the posts on your site. You will now be given the option to delete all posts
   now at the bottom of the page.
 * I believe this should allow you to delete all the posts in one shot.

 * My apologies, but my webhost had a crash and I lost the blogs and posts..but
   I’ve since recovered..

 * I just updated the plugin to be compliant with v2.6.1 of WP. I switched out most
   of the database specific calls to the WP API which should allow it to work with
   more version of WP.
 * The new version (0.7) should be up soon.
 * I’ve got a few other fixes and modifications to make to clean up the code and
   make it more portable..will tackle that when I have a little bit more time..and
   also, if there are any specific feature requests while I’m looking to do the
   work I can roll that in as well..

 * The next/previous_post_link functions don’t return any data. They will just echo
   a next or previous link if one exists, and if not, nothing is echoed.
 * If you wanted to do the echoing yourself, you would have to modify the WP core
   code in the /wp-includes/link-template.php file..

 * Time to switch hosts..majority of shared hosting is most likely used for Blogs
   these day anyway, and if a host is incapable of supporting that, they’re not
   worthy of your money..

 * Mass management of posts/pages is already available from within WP’s admin section.
   This plugin just automates the process of deleting/moving expired posts for you.
 * If I misunderstood your question, please clarify and if it’s something that’s
   of interest, I can surely take a look at implementing it.

 * Podz,
 * First, chill!
 * Secondly, I never questioned the honesty of the people who are offering this
   service. I only questioned the intention of providing a service that gets people
   started without a real direction to head in.
 * Please don’t feel like you are the only one answering questions in the forums,
   you have been prolific in your posts for as long I’ve been here and might have
   been “tagged” with a title that indicates your prominence in this forum, but
   there are many others who provide valuable answers to those who seek answers
   as best as we can.
 * Most of those people got there because they probably tried everything themselves,
   struggled and learned. If that didn’t happen, then there would be less people
   adept in dealing with all variety of WP questions.
 * This might be an issue with personalities. I am a Software Engineer by trade
   and appreciate trying something and in time learning how things work. Others
   might or might not agree. And I do expect that if I can do something without
   too much heartache, others should be able to do it as well, or at least give
   it a damn good try!
 * But whatever..I think my time in these forums is nearing it’s end, I will continue
   to use WP for my personal use..
 * Regards and Ciao..

 * I firmly believe in the idea that people should try to do something by themselves
   and seek any and all help they can get from others who’ve already gone through
   similar things so that they can learn themselves.
 * You say you don’t explain the installation process, that you just do it and let
   it be. In as much as that can be complicated for some, the customization of the
   blog that inevitably comes after is even more so. And people who don’t have a
   clue as to the layout of files and things as such will have an extra hard time.
 * There is nothing wrong is trying something out, stumbling parhaps, seeking help
   and learning how to get things done.
 * If you offered a full-fledged service that not only included installation, but
   installation of themes and plugins and most importantly explained the whole process
   step by step to your “customer”, then I would say there is a lot of value.
 * If people just want to blog without having to worry about the intracasies of
   maintaining their own domain and the software that runs on it, there are enough
   services out there for that. But when they take the role of being their own webmaster,
   I just think they should go all the way and not half-ass it.
 * P.S., and oh I’m not really concerned about whether this is a ratified thing
   as far as Matt or others go, I’m just more thinking along the lines of “teach
   them to fish…”, if you know what I mean..

 * In as much as this sounds like a good idea, I think the installation of WP (and
   just installation) is largely a pain free process and a good one for any budding
   blogger/web-admin to do themselves.
 * For the fact that you don’t disclose any names of the “volunteers”, it is hard
   for anyone to feel safe to give you their login information.
 * My $0.02.
