 * I’m having the same problem as well. Also, when I try to add a date, the calendar
   doesn’t come up, so I have to type the date in. But then the plugin tells me “
   Each sermon must have a date!”

 * I checked the “Disable local SSL certificate verification” box and still get
   the same error message.
    Back in October, iThemes Support said to add this to
   the wp-config.php file:
 * define( ‘ITSEC_TEST_MALWARE_SCAN_DISABLE_SSLVERIFY’, true );
 * That fixed the problem for a time, but then I started getting the error messages
   again.

 * @ shazahm1
 * We had the Connections shortcode in our Directory page – it was not in a custom
   sidebar. I switched to another plugin and I can now upgrade the Connections plugin.

 * I followed your recommendation: I deactivated all my plugins except for Connections,
   then I upgraded Connections from 0.8.14 to 8.1.5. I had no problem. Then I activated
   the other plugins, one-at-a-time. Everything was fine until I activated the WordPress
   Custom Sidebar plugin (v. 2.3). Then my site crashed with the same error I mentioned
   above.
    I checked the details for the WordPress Custom Sidebar plugin: it’s been
   a year since it was last updated and it’s compatible to WordPress 3.5.2. It’s
   probably time to find another plugin to replace the sidebar plugin.

 * We’re using the SlideDeck2 Widget (SD2 v. 2.3.3), NGG 2.0.27, WP 3.6.1, Genesis
   theme 2.0.1.
 * SD2 option Playback -> CrossFade. The SD2 widget is set to RESS & Proportional.
   Slide show is not working. Can’t advance it with the arrows either.
 * If I unclick RESS & Proportional, then the slide show works, but it covers my
   right-hand sidebar.
