 * On a related note, could you recommend an easy way to remove the sidebar from
   all the pages? (Un-selectively)

 * Thanks songdogtech for the suggestions, unfortunately none of them work. I’ve
been digging around about 1&1 shared hosting and it seems that they have 12mb/
20mb PHP limits as of September 2010:

 * Should I lower the values you provided to 12?

 * My intuition that this is related to the webhosting service… who is yours? (1&
1 shared here) Your comments are not reassuring about the WordPress export. 🙂
However, I’ve been using the iDrive and WP-DBManager to successfully do backups
   instead.

 * To have applications you’d had to have had access to the plugins. Yes, 3.0.1
   is the latest.

 * One more question… did you do the install of WordPress or was it taken care of
   by GoDaddy?

 * If you look at that screenshot I linked to, “Typekit Fronts” and “Edit CSS” are
not sub-sections under “Appearance”. You have something that is not standard
   installed…
 * As for switching the theme, just click on “Themes” under “Appearance” and select
and apply the theme that says “Twenty Ten 1.1 by the WordPress Team” – this is
   the standard one.

 * Did you have them when you did the first install, prior to installing your plugins/
theme? Are you still running your theme? If so, switch it back to Twenty Ten
   1.1.

 * Those are subcategories under “Appearance”. Does your dashboard look like this?
 * [http://codex.wordpress.org/File:dashboard.png](http://codex.wordpress.org/File:dashboard.png)
 * Are you saying that you have Appearance, Users, Tools, and Settings, but not
   the Plugins?

 * On the left-hand side of the dashboard you see the “Appearance” category, with
Themes, Widgets, Menus, and Editor directly beneath it, what follows them?

 * Was this ever resolved by either of you? Even the sample.csv that is included
with version 0.3.3 has the problem where the last modified date is set by the
csv_post_date field, rather than the published date.
 * *edit* Let me elaborate that this occurs when “Import posts as drafts” is checked.
The behavior is fine when importing directly as posts.

 * Problem solved – switched the PHP installation to version 5 from version 4.
