The problem has resurfaced. At first the site looked fine. Then the site redirected the root URL to the “About” page. Then I logged out and cleared cookies. Now it redirects to login again. * I looked at the rewrite stuff in .htaccess (last 7 lines). Those lines are correct. My home page now directs to the login page. * That change took place after I erased all of my cookies. I cleared the cache and the problem disappeared. I’m beginning to realize that if I’m running the cache and I have blog problems, I should clear the cache. * The 3 Jan posting was the last one I posted BEFORE I upgraded to 2.7 and, around the same time, upgraded to a new version of Super Cache (at least I’m pretty sure cache upgrade was in there somewhere, too). It works now. * For now, one must choose between SSL and OpenID. If I log in with OpenID it says only existing users can do that. When I go to the site looking for ‘register’ I don’t find a registration page.
