 * Yes, wp_footer();, is called. There is a cache/security plugin there, but I tried
   disabling that to no avail.
 * There must be some kind of inner conflict going on as I’ve tried 5 plugins so
   far and none of them work, so i don’t think it has anything to do with yours.
