We added the same code to our mod sec to detect and block these users. Your host seems to be using two rules that triggered this. Ideally, you should be using a static IP and have that whitelisted so this does not happen. Essentially, this is a very simple method as it just looks for a 200 response code on the wp-login page which would suggest a failed login. Do you have a login form on your site? Guess we will have to update the plugin ourselves. Unless they are back from hiatus already. However, I can not see any upgrades available. Seemed to be that it uses v2 and not v3 of the api. * Now the issue is that no matter what size images I add as pins it ALWAYS re-sizes them to 20×34 even though the image added was 35×35! This plugin removes the overhead, optimizing the database tables. * However, this plugin is oudated and causes a few errors when using debug mode. It may be better to simply visit your db and optimize the tables yourself. To put it simply, none of the settings seem to work. The site is brand new with no caching enabled. It has caching plugins on the site, but they are deactivated and have never been active. * The settings I tested are: Countdown Date Unit CSS Style Title Header Heading Text * None of them work. In preview, it ALWAYS displays the default. There is no change in the css style (tried selecting each option) and there is no change from the default title, header, heading and text. * Essentially nothing seems to be working. This plugin really is a mess, even with a full import, many items seem to fail. I just exported everything and then imported everything. All it imported was images, no posts, no pages, nothing. * The only way I can get this to work is to export and import everything so that it imports images. Then I need to export and import posts, pages etc separately so that it imports the content. Then I need to manually edit the db so that the address for all attached content is correctly referenced. Yet WordPress claim that the plugin works with v3.6! Surely you want the users to find the post that the image is on? This would be much better for your site and your users. * **How to make images.sitemap?** WordPress SEO is a great plugin and it includes images in the sitemap. However, I would advise that you only submit posts and pages, it will submit the images as parts of these posts and pages. After checking, we found that the issue was not a plugin (even though activating one of the plugins caused this issue) but it was a RLimit that hostgator implement which was causing the issue. It seems that once a limit is reached, all connections are blocked. This explains why it is not just one connection or location being effected. Unfortunately, hostgator do not seem to check the RLimit unless you actually force them to do so. I do this for all my websites. However, the menu should not make a draft live, even if that is only for admins. * I am starting to think that something inside WordPress (or something a plugin has added) has caused something to fail, resulting in drafts being live for admins( which should not be the case). * I am not too bothered that it is doing this, but my concern is that as none of my other sites are doing this, something must have gone wrong in this site and it makes me worried what else may have gone wrong. * The only thing I can do is import the content into a clean install and test that. * Thank you for your support. The only one effected is this one. As it only effects one website, I would assume that it is not a default wordpress feature. It does seem that the adverts are all on the backend within a banner which is rotated. * When I test this plugin, it works without showing any adverts. I think that the person who opened this ticket had seen their CTR drop and then investigated the plugin as the possible cause, where they found adverts and mistakenly thought that they were being displayed on the front end. * The real reason why the CTR dropped could be anything from the issues I mentioned above or due to a drop in traffic or drop in search engine ranking. * I think it is safe to consider this issue closed.
