 * I never did get it to work, but I was able to use CF7’s own hook for writing

 * You don’t have to turn on the tracking, see #6 in the installation guide:
 * > 6. Use Google Analytics Tracking options to configure/enable/disable tracking.
 * If you don’t turn on the tracking code it won’t insert it, but you still get 
   the stats from your Google Analytics account if you so desire.
