    Hi @thecatim ,

I am glad you found the problem and that you can now access the pages.

I will look into ways of letting users know that WP Custom Admin Interface might prevent the links from showing up. I need to install it and run some test. But I will definitely include some kind of notification or workaround in a future update.

Unfortunately, it is not my position and not even WordPress’ position to tell all the plugin authors what to display on their plugin’s pages. I find it as a useful addition to the page so I added it. But it’s just a personal choice.

Thank you for using my plugin and hope that it fits your needs.

    Have a good day,
    Cornel

    Hi again @pitowner ,

I tested it on a new WP 5.9.2 with only Search Analytics and WPAdverts installed and It looks like it works with a bit of help.

The WPAdverts plugin seems to be using the query term for their search form.
Standard WordPress uses s for the regular forms.

That means, the Add custom search parameters for recording the searches: option in the Search Analytics Settings page can be used for adding the query term to the monitored URL parameters.

After that, both the regular WordPress forms search and the WPAdverts search work nicely.

There is only one caveat. At this moment, there is no way to know which query came from which form/search param.

So, in case you don’t necessarily need to know where the users searched for the terms, you can use the plugin.
However, if you need to separate the searches based on the form/query string, that is a feature which was not developed yet.

    I hope this helped.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

In case you find my plugin useful and you enjoy working with it, please consider posting a 5star review. It means a lot!

    Thank you,
    Cornel

    Hi @pitowner ,

I will setup a local env and test my plugin with the WPAdverts to see how they blend together.

Will get back to you in a bit.

    Thanks,
    Cornel

    Hello @thecatim ,

You should see it as a submenu of the Dashboard menu item.

If you still don’t see it, try to access this URL and let me know what happens:

    https://yoursite.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=search-analytics%2Fadmin%2Fincludes%2Fclass.stats.php

The settings menu is not MWT settings but MWT: Search Analytics and you should be able to see it if you access this link:

    https://yoursite.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=search-analytics

Let me know about your findings.

    Thanks,
    Cornel

    Hello @tashword and @elvin1 ,

I have tried to come up with a good solution for integrating with Ivory but with the way Ivory Search is setup ( at least the free version ), I would need to hook onto the WP_Query the_posts filter in order to get both the search term and the number of found posts.

So, I opened a support topic with them and asked for a few changes in their codebase that would allow me to easily get all the info we need to add into the database: https://ivorysearch.com/topic/add-actions-search-analytics-compatibility/

In case, for whatever reason, they reject my request, I will send you a few lines of code to add into your (child) theme’s functions.php that would make it work even without those actions from the Ivory Search team, even though it wouldn’t be an ideal way of doing it.

I will keep you posted on how this goes.

    Have a great weekend!

    Hi @yousrialgharawy ,

    Thank you for the suggestion.

Unfortunately, I don’t plan the plugin to be able to modify posts in any way. It is just a simple search analytics plugin.

If you want to, you can create a plugin that works with my plugin’s tables that will do exactly what you need.

Thank you for using my plugin.

If you enjoy using it, I would appreciate a review. That really helps me stay motivated on working on it, now that V2 is completely planned and in development.

    Thank you!

    Wish you a great day!

    Hi @sybrenwebmixnl ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with that plugin and given the fact that it’s a pro/paid plugin I cannot look at it to provide a solution.

I am not sure how they process the database queries and what is the information they send back on the global $wp_query->found_posts. By looking at your message, it looks like they always return 1 on that so my plugin cannot know what is the actual number of posts.

I looked in here: https://searchandfilter.com/documentation/action-filter-reference/ and there is this action do_action('search_filter_query_posts', 96); which looks of potential interest to what you are trying to achieve. But without looking at their code, it’s impossible for me to see what happens under the hood.

I will try to get my hands on the plugin and test it on a clean WordPress install with only Search Analytics and the Search & Filter Pro to see if I can come up with an easy solution.

I am way underway with the V2 of the plugin which will be a complete rewrite and that will allow other plugin/theme developers to develop addons for my plugin so then more integrations will be done.

I will try to have a look at it sometimes this week.

    Thanks!

    Hi @elmar666 ,

Thanks for getting back to me so fast.

This is exactly the same request that was mentioned here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/feature-request-903/

The thing with these AJAX search plugins is that they use their own internal search for doing the AJAX searches. So my plugin does not know how to work with those internal loops.

However, I have an update in the works and, as I said on the other thread, I will also get back to you soon with a code snippet that would solve the integration with this specific plugin. Everything is possible with a bit of custom code 🙂

I will leave this thread open until I get back with a solution that would work for you.

Also, if you like my plugin, please leave a review. That will help it grow in popularity and keep me motivated on making it better 🙂

    Thanks,
    Cornel

    Hi @elmar666 ,

It looks like Ajax Search Lite uses the parameter aslp for passing search paramteres.

Can you try adding aslp in the custom search parameters field and let me know?

    Thanks,
    Cornel

    Hi @designrest ,

Displaying UTF-8 in the search results and exporting them should work out of the box.

I just did a test with these 3 test UTF-8 strings I took from here: https://www.kermitproject.org/utf8.html

    Σὲ γνωρίζω ἀπὸ τὴν κόψη
    ᚠᛇᚻ᛫ᛒᛦᚦ᛫ᚠᚱᚩᚠᚢᚱ᛫ᚠᛁᚱᚪ᛫ᚷᛖᚻᚹᛦᛚᚳᚢᛗ
Pot să mănânc sticlă și ea nu mă rănește

The result when I exported it was the one I was expecting:

    "Term ID",Term,Searches,"Average Results","Last Search Date"
    51,"Σὲ γνωρίζω ἀπὸ τὴν κόψη",1,0.0000,"2021-12-04 07:38:57"
    52,ᚠᛇᚻ᛫ᛒᛦᚦ᛫ᚠᚱᚩᚠᚢᚱ᛫ᚠᛁᚱᚪ᛫ᚷᛖᚻᚹᛦᛚᚳᚢᛗ,1,0.0000,"2021-12-04 07:40:31"
53,"Pot să mănânc sticlă și ea nu mă rănește",1,0.0000,"2021-12-04 07:41:28"

Did you encounter any specific UTF-8 related issues?

    Thanks.
