 * Problem resolved. Word needs to have descriptions assigned to categories to see
   them when posting with xmlrpc. Sorry for the false alarm

 * I’m having a similar problem with my categories not being retrieved. Was there
   a work around?

 * Nevermind I switched templates to something more basic until I get a better handle
   on things.

 * Thanks for the assist Sabinou – I’ve noticed something while trying to work though
   this problem, if I click on the month by month archives along the left side bar,
   things appear to work – the page seems to switch from frontpage to archives. 
   But, if I click on the archives button on the top of the page it gives me the
   404 error.
 * I have newbie confusion.
