Just my 2 cents: you can try creating a custom sidebar for your page and place a ‘recent posts’ widget in it, then to insert (drag&drop) your sidebar in your page; this way i did it and it works. It’s not visible anywhere, nor in the dashboard or in write-post or other places. So i cannot navigate or modify nothing, although i’m so excited with the 2.7 features..
