Social previews are fine, but if sharing the homepage from a mobile browser, the preview omits the site title, which is how it shows if you share it on anything other than Facebook or Twitter, including text threads. Again, it’s an admittedly minor detail, but I’d appreciate any insight on this issue, especially since it only applies to the homepage. Deleting all of my inactive plugins has not fixed the problem, however. * I’ve also had multiple issues with trying to update plugins in which the install fails. I get error messages that say the plugin could either not create a directory or copy a file. * I notice several other threads out there indicating similar gripes ever since the 3.8.2 update. Started after latest update. Deactivated all other plugins. Still broke images. Haven’t touched the theme in weeks. I’ve had to deactivate NextGEN + and now I’m scrambling to make sure my OG data is good. Liveblog has served me well several times. I installed EM yesterday and got 404 error codes while trying to live blog The Oscars. It was self-inflicted. I had turned off the rewrite in the .htaccess file (in hopes of solving thumbnails not loading on Facebook previews). That screwed up the custom permalinks. When I switched to default, they were fine, but custom broke the feed.
