I think I know what’s causing it — Simply Static is catching errors in other plugins and themes and halting as a result. I did test this across a variety of different sites, WordPress versions, and PHP versions and didn’t run into any issues. * As far as I can tell based on the logs that folks are sending in, Simply Static is picking up on errors in other plugins and themes and halting when it encounters them. No, you won’t lose any functionality in your WordPress site by installing Simply Static. What Simply Static does is let you create a static version of your site that you’d use separately from your WordPress installation. That static version is basically just a collection of HTML/text files, so it doesn’t have access to PHP or your database or anything, so from that standpoint certain things( e.g. comments) might not work on the static version that would work on your WordPress installation. * 2. Nope, you don’t need to uninstall any plugins before installing Simply Static.
