 * Hi there,
 * Although the WP repo support forum is intended to provide help for the free version
   of HappyFiles I am more than happy to answer your question here.
 * First of all: HappyFiles PRO is not dead 🙂 Far from it, actually. I will send
   out an email with more details to all HappyFiles PRO customers about the upcoming
   HappyFiles 1.6 update this week.
 * Unfortunately, I did not have the capacity to continue the regular HappyFiles
   updates that I’d like to have seen after launching Bricks. That was the main
   reason the updates temporarily stopped.
 * I’ve picked up the work on the rewrite of HappyFiles (now written in VueJS as
   Bricks).
 * I hope this helped to clear up some of the confusion about the state of HappyFiles.
   In case I misunderstand the “LTD update philosophy” question, please let me know.
   I am more than happy to provide more context and information.
 * Best regards,
    Thomas

 * [@utentone](https://wordpress.org/support/users/utentone/) Yes, as long as you
   buy the lifetime deal, you’ll receive ALL future updates. But there currently
   is no ETA on the 2.0 update. So I’d only encourage you to go ahead with your
   PRO purchase if the current feature set of HappyFiles PRO contains everything
   you need.

   support, I am just an email away (info@happyfiles.io) 🙂
 * No update on the hiring front, though.

 * [@blackeye0013](https://wordpress.org/support/users/blackeye0013/) Thank you
   so much for your congrats. The launch of Bricks is also the reason I had to shift
   my development focus towards it (away from HappyFiles).
 * I planned to resubmit HappyFiles to the WP repo with the HappyFiles 2.0 rewrite.
   For which I, unfortunately, could not find the time. I am actively looking for
   another developer to ensure we get back to the regular HappyFiles updates you
   used to enjoy. This takes time, though.
 * [@roccocontillo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/roccocontillo/) You can
   still download the free version of HappyFiles from [https://happyfiles.io](https://happyfiles.io).
   It’s just not available in the WP repo right now.

 * I will submit an updated version to the repository soon. The explanation of violating
   the guidelines leave some room for interpretation. So I am not sure how long
   it’ll take until HappyFiles will be listed again. Rest assured, I am trying my
   best, friends! Huge thanks to everyone for providing some more context on the
   issue.

 * Hi [@brunoh](https://wordpress.org/support/users/brunoh/),
 * Thanks so much for reporting this issue. It is related to WordPress 5.6 CSS styles,
   and not HappyFile specific.
 * I’m hoping they will provide a fix in the next update. I’d prefer to wait for
   the fix from WordPress rather than adding my own styling on top of WordPress
   in this location.
 * If you right-click on the category dropdown in the HappyFiles Gutenberg block
   you can see that the ‘select’ multiple CSS is overwritten by another rule, which
   it shouldn’t. As a quick temporary fix, you could add some custom CSS to your
   site that overrides the “select[multiple]” height back to 100%.
 * I will leave this issue open, until it has been resolved, hopefully on the WP
   end.

 * Hi [@amaeria](https://wordpress.org/support/users/amaeria/),
 * As I haven’t heard back from you I assume the issue no longer occurs. So I am
   going to mark this thread as resolved. As mentioned in my previous reply HappyFiles
   itself does not change the order of your files.
 * Best,
    Thomas

 * Thanks so much for reporting this issue. I just released HappyFiles 1.5, and
   I could not replicate this issue anymore. Seems to work fine now. So I am going
   to close this issue for now. If it still happens to you, please let me know by
   leaving another message below.

 * [@tcghs](https://wordpress.org/support/users/tcghs/) By default HappyFiles will
   assign a file to one folder.So it looks like you’ve got the “Enable multiple
   categories” setting under “Settings > HappyFiles” enabled.
 * If you want to keep this behaviour of being able to assign multiple categories,
   but want to remove a file from a specific category, then you drag the file into
   the “All Categories” or “Uncategorized” folder as [@esilverstrike](https://wordpress.org/support/users/esilverstrike/)
   suggested.

 * Hi George,
 * The HappyFiles sidebar resizing is not available in the media modal. If you’d
   like to see this feature added, please feel free to submit it as a new feature
   request via [https://happyfiles.io/roadmap/?tab=ideas](https://happyfiles.io/roadmap/?tab=ideas)
   so others can upvote and comment on it. If it gets enough traction, I’ll develop
   it 🙂

 * Hi there,
 * Thank you so much for reporting this issue. Do you mind emailing me more details
   via [info@happyfiles.io](https://wordpress.org/support/users/codeer/replies/info@happyfiles.io?output_format=md)?
   Which WordPress and HappyFiles version you use, etc. A screenshot or short screencast
   that illustrates the issue usually helps a lot.
 * Looking very much forward to your email,
    Thomas

 * Hi [@primitivenet](https://wordpress.org/support/users/primitivenet/),
 * Thanks so much for reaching out about this issue. When you enable the “Crop images”
   setting for your HappyFiles gallery, it is applying a cropping effect the same
   way the WordPress gallery does by adding a “is-cropping” CSS class to the gallery
   element, which makes sure all your gallery images take up the same height.
 * If you need to actually crop your files, I recommend to add a custom image size
   to your site, and then regenerate all your thumbnails (there are tons of free
   plugins with this functionality in the WP plugin repository). And use that image
   size in your HappyFiles gallery.
 * For a 4:3 cropped image size (1200×900), you’d add the following code to the
   functions.php file of your child theme:
 * `add_image_size( 'happyfiles_gallery_4_3', 1200, 900, true );`
 * You can set the dimensions to anything you want, really. Just make sure to set
   the fourth parameter to _true_ as it is responsible for the actual cropping.
   Or to an array with the x- and y-axis cropping position.
 * More information about the **add_image_size** function: [https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/add_image_size/](https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/add_image_size/)
 * Hope this helps,
    Thomas

 * Thanks you so much [@primitivenet](https://wordpress.org/support/users/primitivenet/)
   for helping out. Yup, adding this custom piece of CSS is the solution I’d have
   suggested as well.
 * The HappyFiles gallery is using the WordPress gallery CSS. This helps avoid adding
   more unnecessary/duplicate code to your site. So the way the HappyFiles gallery
   is displayed is identical to WordPress’ gallery.
 * [@amaeria](https://wordpress.org/support/users/amaeria/): I assume you were able
   to copy & paste the CSS provided above to your site, and that it is working for
   you. So I am going to close this issue. If you are still experiencing this issue,
   feel free to reply to this thread.
