 * Hey [@philippeaellig](https://wordpress.org/support/users/philippeaellig/),
 * Thanks for reaching out and for sharing those logs.
 * Our plugin is fully compatible with PHP 8.3 (and all versions from PHP 5.6 onwards).
 * The “Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property” messages you’re seeing are warnings,
   not errors. They don’t break anything, and your plugin should be working perfectly.
   PHP 8.2/8.3 just flags this method of creating properties as something that will
   be removed from PHP in the future.
 * You’ll see them disappear in an upcoming release of our plugin, well before PHP
   officially removes the deprecated feature.
 * If you’re facing any actual issues beyond these log warnings, please let us know!
   Otherwise, you’re all good on PHP 8.3.

 * Hi Sophie,
 * Thank you for contacting us.
 * When you reach your goal, the number of signatures displayed on the petition
   form will automatically increase. For example, after reaching 100 signatures,
   the goal will automatically increase to 200, and so on. This is why the target
   can never show a full progress bar. This behaviour is intentional so people don’t
   stop signing a petition when the set goal is reached.
 * Two tips for goal setting:
   Set the first goal not too high (e.g. 1000) and start
   with a low number like 50 or max. 100. This will make the progress bar look “
   almost full” more quickly. People tend not to sign petitions with a low progress
   shown on the progress bar.Do not activate the progress bar until you have collected
   at least 50% of the first signature target. To get some initial signatures, spread
   the petition among friends, family, colleagues and long-time supporters first.
   Then activate the progress bar and use social media, the press and other multipliers
   to spread your petition.
 * I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate
   to contact us again.
 * All the best,
   Frank from Civist

 * Hello [@sidkvist](https://wordpress.org/support/users/sidkvist/),
 * I have heard about your welcome efforts to translate the Civist plugin into Swedish.
   That’s great.
 * Many users have provided new languages to our Petitions plugin. Therefore, I
   would like to assist you.
 * Civist uses an external translation service for the plugin and the forms. The
   forms are only translatable via our translation service. The strings are not
   available in WordPress. If you want to translate the Civist forms and the verification
   emails (double opt-in to verify a signature) into Swedish, I invite you to contact
   our support. We would be very pleased.
 * To contact our support, please click on the “Civist Support” button on the right
   side of your screen in your Civist Dashboard (WordPress main menu → Civist Plugin
   → Dashboard). We will send you all the essential information and an invitation
   to our translation tool.
 * Also, please mention how soon you need the Swedish translation available in Civist.
   Since a plugin release is required, it would be vital to know for pacing the
   release. Thank you very much 🙂
 * All the best

 * Hello [@gillesgagnon](https://wordpress.org/support/users/gillesgagnon/)
 * It all depends on how you define optimal. Civist is a SaaS and has served many
   professional organisations since 2017. Time and time again, our clients’ data
   protection officers evaluated and audited Civist’s data protection measures under
   the strict rules of the GDPR. So, data protection is an integral part of our
   work.
 * Civist handles sensitive data (person relatable and personal data and financial
   transactions), and storing this information in WordPress is not advisable, especially
   if you are located in the EU or any other region with strict data protection
   legislation.
 * Feel free to contact our certified (TÜV Rhineland) data protection officer via
   [privacy@civist.com](https://wordpress.org/support/users/civist/replies/privacy@civist.com?output_format=md)
   if you have questions regarding Civist’s security measures.
 * That said, a couple of petition plugins for WordPress store all data directly
   in your WordPress. And that’s the good thing about WordPress: you can choose
   freely from many different plugins to scratch your itch.
 * I will mark this topic as resolved.
 * All the best!

 * Hi [@gillesgagnon](https://wordpress.org/support/users/gillesgagnon/)
 * Civist is a team of activists, engineers, and data protectors. We aim to get
   you and your campaign started as quickly as possible without compromising privacy(
   regulations) nor performance.
 * Suppose you are looking for a modern petition form with integrated email verification.
   In that case, you will find this in our **free** Activist tier: [https://civist.com/legal/pricing/](https://civist.com/legal/pricing/).
   It includes a fundraising option in case you want to make your activism more
   sustainable. For each donation processed, we charge a percentage of fees to cover
   the costs of the payment service provider and ours. Therefore, costs are only
   incurred in the Activist Plan when donations are collected.
 * If you need a custom email template for your campaign or faster response times
   from our support, the Organisation tier is a good fit. We invoice the **yearly
   subscription** fee only after all customisations and integrations into your infrastructure
   are done and verified as working. We recommend it to organisations with up to
   50.000 supporters.
 * Some of our clients run massive international campaigns with special requirements
   and custom integrations into their infrastructure. In such cases, we prefer to
   recommend our Flex tier. As the name suggests, it is the most **flexible** option
   of our three tiers and is usually not the first choice if you want to start a
   local campaign.
 * Civist integrates into your WordPress as a regular plugin. However, the configurations
   for petitions and fundraisers are stored in the cloud. The signatures and donations
   are also stored in the cloud. Cloud, in this case, means data centres in Belgium
   and Germany. This is how we provide a performant and secure environment for our
   client’s campaigns and data.
 * In legalese, Civist provides its services as a sub-processor (GDPR summary: [https://www.gdprsummary.com/gdpr-definitions/sub-processor/](https://www.gdprsummary.com/gdpr-definitions/sub-processor/)).
   Our obligation is to deliver a highly functional campaign platform that keeps
   your and your supporter’s data safe.
 * If you have further questions, please get in touch with us through our support
   form directly in the Civist Plugin at any time.
 * Have a great day!

 * Hi Nathaliedd !
 * I want to inform you that we finished the rollout of the translation.

 * Hi Nathaliedd !
 * As promised, we had a more extended discussion today, and I want to give you
   an update about the result.
 * We have integrated already the translation into our backend. Still, a rollout
   is not possible this week anymore due to the workload. However, we will make
   the plugin rollout next week, most likely on Tuesday or Wednesday, if nothing
   critical comes up.
 * I will send you information as soon as the new translation is available. Please
   mind that after the rollout, a plugin update is necessary.
 * Have a great weekend, and thank you very much again for the better translation!

 * Hi Nathaliedd !
 * Thank you for providing us with the new, improved translation and for your time.
   That was very thoughtful.
 * Unfortunately, a simple update is impossible, as translations are deeply integrated
   into the Civist system. Therefore a complete plugin release is necessary. I ask
   for your understanding that it may take some time until the update is available.
 * I will take the new translation to our team meeting tomorrow to clarify the further
   procedure and how quickly we can make the change available. I will get back to
   you after that.
 * With best regards
    Frank from Civist

 * Hi Nathaliedd !
 * Thank you very much for reaching out.
 * Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to change the widget texts on your own since
   all translations in Civist are deeply integrated, but we may change it for you.
 * Do I correctly assume that you meant the following phrase?
 * EN (original): “Thank you for showing your support! We need to verify your email
   address before your signature can be counted, please check your inbox.”
 * FR (translation provided by a customer): “Vous avez signé la pétition mais vous
   devez vérifier votre adresse d’e-mail. Vérifiez votre boîte de réception.”
 * Do you have a suggestion for a better translation? That would be awesome!
 * Also, if you have further proposals for French translations, we would be happy
   to hear your thoughts. Thank you very much.

 * Hi Schroedingers Cat,
 * Thanks for reaching out.
 * Unfortunately, the field label “Organization” is an optional field, and it is
   not possible to change the label text.
 * We recommend asking your supporters in the petition text to provide the organisations
   name in any case. Also, it is helpful to add a hint that the verification email
   for the petition is coming from Civist. In rare cases, people get confused about
   that.
 * I wish you many signatures and all the best,

 * Hi Paddy,
 * First of all, I am sorry for the late response. Hopefully, your petition is doing
   well, and you could already collect many signatures.
 * **Regarding the Call to Action text:**
    The Call to Action text cannot be changed.
   You can only remove it (“Support Us, Sign This Petition!”) directly in the petition
   edit mode. Please go on “Petitions” and choose the petition you want to edit
   by clicking on “Edit” beneath the petition’s title or by clicking the petition’s
   title. That will open the petition in edit mode. On the right side, where you
   can choose all the petition form fields, please disable the “Call-to-Action”
   checkmark.
 * **Regarding the translation:**
    Civist uses three versions of “English”. The “
   Standard English” uses the term “Postal Code”. If you use “English (United States)”,
   the term “ZIP Code” will be used. You can also use English (United Kingdom).
   In this case, the form uses “Postcode”. To change the form to a specific language,
   you can _pin the petition forms language_. To do so, please go to your petition
   edit screen. You will find the “Pin Language” feature on the right side. Please
   mind that setting the language overwrites the browser’s language settings. Hence,
   all supporters see the petition widget always in the chosen language. Please,
   don’t forget to save your change, and you are ready to go. The language the
   system shows the form and sends a verification email depends on the language
   settings of the petition form and the browser’s language. You quickly force the
   widget to use a specific translation via the “Pin Language” section. The pinned
   language on the petition form always has the highest prioritization than a pinned
   language of a connected donation form and the browser’s language. On the other
   hand, if the pinned language of the petition form is set on “auto”, the browser’s
   language will take over. That could be why you see the wrong term “ZIP Code”
   because the browser’s language is Englisch US.
 * Here some examples if you use only a petition form:
    Petition form = French,
   Browser = English > Widget and verification email = French Petition form = auto,
   Browser = French > Widget and verification email = French Petition form = auto,
   Browser = English UK > Widget and verification email = English UK
 * Examples, if you use a petition form with a connected donation form:
    Petition
   form = German and Donation form = English or auto, Browser is English > The widget
   and verification email are using German Petition form = auto, Donation form =
   Engl., Browser = Polish > The widget and the verification email are using Polish
   Petition form = auto, Donation form = auto, Browser = Italian> The widget and
   the verification email are using Italian
 * Pinning the language of the donation form makes only sense if you use a donation
   form separately, for example, for a local donation campaign.
 * I hope that explanation is not too confusing. Still, I hope it helps get your
   petition running in the correct language settings. If you have further questions,
   please feel free to drop me a line.
 * All the best,
    Frank from Civist
 * Ps: I like to point out that you will receive faster responses if you use our
   support channel using the “Civist Support” Button on the left-hand side of our
   plugin. Our Helpdesk guarantees a quick response and makes it easier to convey
   critical information to the technical staff. You will also find some helpful
   information in our new Helpdesk in the [“Solutions”](https://civist.freshdesk.com/support/solutions)
