 * This happened to a client of ours as well, and the event was a single, non-recurring
   event. He went in, disabled registration to make some updates, and all of the
   bookings were lost.
 * Not just un-associated; I pulled the database and confirmed they were gone. I
   was able to pull the bookings from a backup fortunately.
