In reply to: [WP Multi Store Locator] Garbage plugin. Skip it.I feel like I pretty well covered the issues above. To recreate, simply do ANY of the following:
- run this plugin with PHP 8+ and watch it crash
- once you have it working in anyway, watch your chrome ; developer tools network requests and see how many calls either fail (like the v3 Google Utility, bootstrap modal, infobox, etc) OR use a double forward slash in the URL (like when calling certain plugin assets)
Did you ever solve this? I am experiencing the same issue, and have been for some time. This has persisted through theme changes, multiple plugin changes, etc. We are completely updated on WP/Woo/all plugins and themes.
I am STILL getting this error in version 1.8.14 – can we please get a fix for this?

In reply to: Screenshots not updating in plugin@digamberpradhan – you need to put the assets folder at the root level of your svn repo. That solved our issue. Hope that helps.

In reply to: [Inbound Brew] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Illuminate\\Database\\QueryException@sollers We have resolved the issue. The strict setting wasn’t new to MySQL 5.7, but defaulted on instead of off like in previous version (just to correct my above comment).
We are pushing out version 1.6.0 of the plugin I write this, which includes the fix to function even if strict mode is enabled. Please let us know if you have any more issues, questions, or feedback.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Inbound Brew] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Illuminate\\Database\\QueryExceptionOkay, so there appears to be a new setting in MySQL 5.7.5 called STRICT_TRANS_TABLES. When this is set, MySQL is VERY picky about certain things such as inserts when there is no default value – this would normally throw a warning, but with STRICT_TRANS_TABLES enabled, it throws a fatal error.
I suggest disabling STRICT_TRANS_TABLES for the time being while we work on making sure all fields have defaults.
There is a good chance that a LOT of software will run into this same issue, as it is not always common to set a default for every field (though, arguably, it SHOULD be common).
I will let you know when we update this, but it is quite the overhaul, so it will take some time.

In reply to: [Inbound Brew] Error MessagesI don’t think a conflicting captcha would be the issue.
I also don’t want to just pass the buck and blame the host, but we’ve never seen this issue before, and the error itself indicated a user permission problem.
Go ahead and send this specific text to your host and we’ll continue to look on our end:
To whom it may concern,
While attempting to install a plugin on my WordPress install, I received the following error:
Copy/paste error here
It appears to be a user permission error regarding the saving of sessions files into the tmp directory. Can you look into this?
Let me know what they say!

In reply to: [Inbound Brew] Error MessagesTheWiz,
We’ve been moving this around the last few minutes, and we’re 99.9% sure this is a problem at the host (regarding usr permissions).
Can you send a short ticket there first and Sr what happens? I’d be happy to act on your behalf with your host if necessary.
Please let us know what they say. We want to make sure your issue is resolved.

In reply to: [Inbound Brew] Error MessagesGood evening. I’m so sorry that you’ve experienced this issue.
At first glance, it looks like there may be an issue with the permissions of the web user to write files to the temp directory.
There could be more to the story, however.
Can I ask the following so we can get to the bottom of this?
- who is your host provider?
- what version of php are you running?
- what web server are you running (apache, nginx, etc) and what version
You can respond here or email us @ support@inboundbrew.com directly.
Thanks!

That is really strange – I don’t know why it would be? We have SSL installed and have never been hacked. I will look into this for sure.
Thanks!
