Worth adding here, I think. Maybe your code did take, because a few hard refreshes later, I’ve got tiny thumbnails in posts. The odd thing is that it took several tries for it to work. * Either way, thanks for your help and input — much appreciated. And yes it is in posts, but it seems odd that it ignores media settings. The code you suggested did nothing, unfortunately, but it could be I haven’t added it correctly. * As for your other question, that previous comment happened when I installed the updated plugin into its own folder and just deactivated the first original one. Unfortunately that actually has caused more problems, so far. * The featured image still shows full-sized, no matter what size I pick (and I tried in a new post as well). Also, the featured image has to be reset from the admin backend now — it uploads, but does not set. * Another issue, unrelated to the images: – The require excerpt does not show an excerpt field, and the post goes through just fine without it — no message about required features. * I will try again, and make sure my install is clean — unless you have any other points to add?
